I think there should be a homecoming for the Houston Texans like the one they had for the Oilers back in 1979.
Different time, different era, different team. Nowadays, they'd try to make a profit on such an event...but it would be damn cool.
They don't need positive reinforcement right now. What they need is to think about why they ended up short. Take this time off to think about it. Then come back ready to whoop butt next year.
the good: the Dolphins don't use this the bad: it's bad <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/TgOYPmgc-C8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
they did it when they clinched the playoff spot....im almost sure they'll have fans waiting when they get back tonight? tomorrow? Anyone know when?
Someone needs to write "Welcome Home" on a brick and give it to Jacoby Jones from a hefty distance. Also, cover it in dog ***** first. Everyone else should be welcomed back with open arms, they made the best out of a season that basically ended when Schaub went down. I'm proud of my Texans. Spoiler But if they go 14-2 next year and get bounced in the first round, I will *****ing murder somebody.
they should be arriving at Reliant right about now. they said 9-9:30pm i wont be going. dont wanna risk seeing Japhoney jones. But i am dam proud of our season. Just a couple less TOs and we might be playing next week...sighs.....
stopped by reliant about an hour ago....saw a few guys drive out, cushing, walters, leinart, mario and allen i think...good sized crowd, but the guys obviously werent in the mood to celebrate...

I thnk the difference is these guys have experienced failure before. This year they overcame injuries. Lost due to literally the play of 2 guys. It would be wrong to welcome home a healthy team who lost in the first round, but this team deserves a little something.
