The funniest/saddest part of the timeline is that eventually they probably DO get Josh McCown as HC and he'll be terrible lmao.
Texans and sham Interviews. Names a more iconic duo. Fking hire McCown, get it over with and move on when he fking flames out (assuming his lack of coaching experiences is the main factor why he sucks ass). All this sham interviews and minority bridge hires is just wasting more time rebuilding.

don't even believe Culley was a token hire, I think he was a desperate attempt to get Watson back in the fold, if they wanted to token hire a black coach why does it have to be Culley who some people will look at and go "He's black?" This logic is so far out there. If they were so desperate to hire the coach to bring Watson back, they should have hired Flores or Saleh. Minority Coaches he actually wanted This was just a random ass minority hire that the Texans front office thought was a "good compromise" for Watson. Black but had the charactestics the top office wanted. Yes man, Black, well liked, family man.

He liked Culley too though and they couldn't hire Flores because he was already the Dolphins HC, who knows if Saleh wanted the job too. Again though, you can't say they just want to hire a black coach for when the team is bad but also believe they were ready to hire McCown. That doesn't logically make sense unless you believe the 2022-23 Texans will be a good team.
They hired black coaches for rebuild, but the goal all along is McCown. Flores lawsuit was literally depicting the Texans current hiring process. Hire a black coach that is set up for failure, but at least u r being "progressive". Then hire white coach u want afterwards cause u can fired the black coach for poor performance. Why else would they hired an incompetent coach like culley just to fire his ass a year later. The only reason why McCown isn't hc today is bc of the flores lawsuit. Louvie came out of literally no where during this sham coach searching process. Literally a last min pivot hire.
How can anyone look at what's happening here and not understand why Watson demanded a trade in the first place.
Yeah, I truly believe Culley was a desperate attempt to get Watson back because it was all people talked about then and right away we had stories about how Culley reached out to Watson and had to confirm that he wasn't coming back. You even mentioned in the post above that you too believed this was part of it. Also, the thing people are smoothing over in all this is that yes, Culley was incompetent and wasn't a good coach. Therefore, it is reasonable, despite whatever race he is, that the Texans would fire him. Also, you can't say the Texans are only looking for a black coach to plug in for the rebuilding years then also believe they were going to hire McCown because the Texans are still rebuilding. Had they hired McCown they would have hired a white coach through the rebuilding years which contradicts that narrative.
Stupid. I mean Lovie Smith is reasonably competent and experienced, but ask yourself, would ANY other team in the league make that hire? Absolutely not. The Texans are a joke that continues to rewrite itself over and over again.
I don't care one way or another. Love Smith or Lovie Roper. Most assuredly, either one would be gone by the time we are competitive again.
Really don't care who coaching , I just like to be entertained... And this has been above and beyond my expectations of scripted comedy..
1. Texans are just hiring black coaches to look progressive during a rebuild and r dumbasses thinkin all it takes to win back Watsons favor is to hire black coach. Thinking a coach of the same race might make Watson happy. 2. Watson wants stability and competent hires. These sham ass interviews literally proving the Watsons point on why he wants out of here regardless of his criminal status. 3. McCown is the end goal. Just like how caserio was the end goal, where we hired Gaines (to fire his ass shortly after), promote and fired BoB and to make a sham ass interview to hire caserio. McCown is end goal cause that what the easterbunny wants.
