Nothing particularly wrong with that - McCown's problem is that he had no experience whatsoever in coaching.

Cinci's whole coaching staff was inexperienced when hired. The HC was a 35yr old QB coach. Their OC and DC had never been in those roles either. As long as you find smart, innovative people and let them grow together, there's nothing wrong with it.

What about Carr on a reasonable 2-3 year deal?

There’s a reason he hasn’t gotten a job. At this point, it’s him.

Hot take…Tim Kelly might actually be a good hire. He did a good job with Watson and Mills.

You think he accepted a job on another staff and will still interview here? I'd be shocked.

My personal opinion is that he'll fetch $20mil+ a year. That's too much for a team needing too much, in my opinion, and also could lull you into a false sense of QB security, which he won't provide. Essentially, you need to start from the bottom - a rookie, this year or next. If we sign a QB, I hope it's a Jacoby Brissett type guy.

Yes, that reason is because he is about to be in the Superbowl. My current stance on Bienemy is to get him as OC.

Undlin's contract with the 49ers has expired and he can now pursue lateral moves, including a spot with the Texans other than DC.
