He took it down! Jacksonville sports talk guy ragging on the Texans for hiring a white coach instead of Bieniemy...

Has Culley's strong Christian faith(and the likely connection Easterby and Cal wanted) already been discussed in terms of one of the reasons the Texans hired him? I figure Cal and Easterbys requirements were pretty much

    1. Strong Christian
    2. Not a greatly desired coordinator or former HC so bargaining power is less in terms of salary and roster control

2b. Be black. (Get the media to look slightly favorably at the hire after the backlash teams were getting for the lack of minority hires).

Happy for Culley but as a Texans fan(and soon to be fan of whichever team(s) JJ and DW4 go to) it's disappointing.

    TF is Pep doing?
I guess Miami was gonna go another way with the OC position and the Steelers already stayed in house for that so his options might have been limited(not sure if the Jets and Saleh already have an OC).
His options had to be limited otherwise why make the lateral move to the Texans when he was searching for an OC job.

For the Texans it's definitely great. Pep will be necessary once the trade DW4 for Tua and picks lol. He'll have to develop Tua for the Texans.
Which reminds me, I think Tua just might be a great fit for Easterby and Cal in terms of being a "strong/great Christian". The Texans. Sigh.

Pep is a good move. It’s about time they did something right...

Who the hell is Pep gonna coach? This is just him collecting an easy check? What did cal give him, a 10 year contract?

The hiring of Pep basically confirms that Watson is out of here and we'll have either a rookie or a very young QB in here next season. Good.

This is the most dysfunctional team in the history of the professional football. How I wish we were the Cleveland Browns.

Why? What has he ever done that says he'd be a good coach?

Except for the fact that most coaches in the business say he would.

The only culture that needs changing is to get God the **** out of the organization. The culture sucks became of the owner and Easterby. How is that going to change?

Wow... Andy Reid made it clear he thinks EB is far better than Culley... he literally said Culley will bring energy, is loyal and he has had hamburgers with him.... that is his ****ing comments on Culley as a head coach.

Experts all say he will eventually be a head coach. And they all talk highly of his knowledge of the game.
