https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/09/16/a...n-ramsey-trade-request-jaguars-nfl-news-notes Jalen Ramsey’s trade request should hardly come as a surprise to anyone who’s followed his career since his first-team All-Pro season in 2017—he showed up to training camp in a Brink’s truck, for crying out loud. The next question becomes: Can the Jaguars can get proper value back for him?. He’s under contract through 2020, which is a plus (He’s making $3.6 million this year, and has an exercised fifth-year option at $13.7 million for next year). He’s made the Pro Bowl twice and, at his best, is among the very best at his position, a physical freak of a corner. The flip side is that he’s going to be expensive to keep long-term, and he’s got a well-established track record now of clashing with coaches. Stay tuned to this one—it certainly could get significantly uglier if he’s not traded right away, based on where we are right now.
This has been brewing for some time now. There was no chance he resigned there. He’d love to be here but a trade is unlikely at this point for the Texans. Still doesn’t mean he won’t be looking this way come free agency. But this is gonna get real ugly if he doesn’t get traded.
We need Watson/D-Hop to get Ramsey to say that he won't suit up for any team except the Texans. He needs to force his way here. Or he can pull an "AB" and become such a cancerous disruption that the Jags are forced to cut him, then we can sign him.
I knew it! Of course Obrien and Marrone are friends. As I watched an unnecessary 2-point conversion run up the middle and fail, I thought Obrien was probably crying tears of jealousy. That's right out of his playbook.
Radio was suggesting using our WR depth to make this work. So something like Fuller and picks. Raiders make sense since they have multiple first rounders however.
Oh crap. Between potentially this and AB to the pats, the super powers' arms race is getting out of control.
Ramsey is just following the Antonio Brown playbook of acting obnoxious for the express purpose of getting cut/traded. It's most certainly an act.
What a stupid post. If we could get one of the best CB (where we need the most help) for a plus WR (where we are stacked) it'd be an absolute done deal without hesitation.
An actual GM would have waited patiently for an opportunity like this to make a real impact trade instead of giving away players for free. Imagine if Texans still had these... Jadaveon Clowney 2020 First Round Pick 2021 First Round Pick 2021 Second Round Look around the league, the Trent Williams situation is getting worse by the day for the Redskins, and now Ramsay also wants out from the Jaguars. Losing teams are only going to get more frustrated and desperate as the season progresses. If only the Texans could have waited and made a move for both Williams and Ramsay right now. I know for a fact, if given all the above mentioned assets, Bill Belichick would have gone on one hell of a shopping spree.
