Yeah, don't hate him. In fact, really kinda liked him after seeing this:

    The guy is pretty funny.

No hate or ill wishes towards Manning from me.

I have no clue why the Pats are nowhere to be found, but it's still nice to see something like this as we approach midseason.

Their defense is atrocious; Texans '10-level bad. Their next 4 are Giants, Jets, Chiefs, Eagles - could be a rough stretch. Unfortunately, their next 4 are Colts, Redskins, Broncos, Dolphins, so they'll get to 10-11 wins. But I see them being first-round fodder.

Titans lose, and have a tough schedule the next five weeks.

This division is ours, not only are we getting a home game, we may even get a bye.

I'm getting a strange feeling I've never had about the texans,it feels like...victory

    Pats/Jets/Bills all 5-3, Steelers/Ravens/Bengals all have 2 losses

Texans are sitting pretty, let these teams beat each other up.

I'd start a "Texans AFC champs Watch" thread, but I don't want to jinx it.

Texans are truly flying under the radar, no one talking about us other than Bill Cowher.

It's like the Rockets all over again.

I would much rather the Texans fly under the radar. Win their games and worry about the media later in January when it really counts.

Yeah, don't want to get ahead of myself but if we somehow miss the playoffs then something went terribly, terribly wrong.

I agree. Just let our game do the talking and come the playoffs, the media attention will be there if we have a good run.

what does a broder have to do to get some texans highlights anywhere. Watching nfl network, every team got a minute+ we got 2 plays. It's all good just have to wait til 1030 for extra points.

anyways, glorious victory today for battlefighters all across nation.

If I see a fan in the stands holding up a sign with those words, I'll know it's you.

Maybe the entire city will adopt that phrase for this Texan team. Kinda like when we had the "Luv ya Blue" era. We would probably need a song or a chant to go along with the posters and t-shirts. This could be big.

    AFC-E
    NE 5-3
    NYJ 5-3
    BUF 5-3
(NE beat Jets, lost to Bills)
(BUF beat Pats, lost to Jets)
(NYJ beat Bills, lost to Pats)

    AFC-N
    Cin 6-2
    Bal 6-2
    Pit 6-3
(BAL swept Pit, 2 games remain vs Cinc)
(CIN yet to play BAL or PIT - 4 total games)

    AFC-W
    KC 4-4
    SD 4-4
    Oak 4-4
(KC and SD split series 1-1)
    (KC beat Oak)
    (SD to play Oak twice)

    AFC-S
    Hou 6-3
    Ten 4-4
    (Titans @ Hou NYD)

5-2 the rest of the way *should* seal it. We need to see if the Bengals are for real. They'll be tested and beat up in the next 4 weeks. Panthers are dangerous, and both the Falcons and Bucs will be happy to take advantage if a team falls asleep on them.

If we assume the AFC-W remains a mess with the winner escaping with 9-10 wins, then it comes down to either the AFC-N or AFC-E becoming a messy dogfight. I still think we need 12 wins before a bye becomes a possibility.

Hate to start salivating over playoffs this early, but...

Baltimore is primed for the #1 seed after clinching the tiebreaker over Pittsburgh last night. After that, we just need to edge out New England for #2 (or maybe the Jets if they get hot). I see them 11 wins tops, so if we can take care of business and go 11-5, it might come down to a tiebreaker. If we do get a bye, I'd go out on a limb and say it's very likely we'll face Pittsburgh in the 2nd round (assuming the Jets grab the #6 spot over Buffalo and Cincy, I think they'd beat NE and go on to face Baltimore).

Seal what? The division? If we went 5-2 with one of those wins coming against the Titans, it'd be impossible for us to lose the division. Even if we didn't beat the Titans, it'd be virtually impossible for them to pass us. 5 more wins would put us at 11-5 and they'd have to go 7-1 the rest of the way just to tie us.

I think we still win the division even if we go 2-5, so long as one of those wins come against the Titans, I don't see them getting 5 more wins.

We needed the Steelers to pull out that game last night. It's two games the Texans would have to make up on Baltimore due to the tie breaker. But Baltimore has been strange this year. Two WTF losses to AFC South teams and it took a big comeback last week to beat Arizona at home so maybe they will slip up some more.
