For the last 3 easons, maybe 4 Texans coaches have been hyping Barwin as this great athlete, who has basketball skills, quickness, etc. Last year he came through with 11 sacks. This year he's not doing anything sackwise. Brooks Reed not doing much either. If it weren't for JJ Watt, and a few special blitz packages, the Texans defense wouldn't have any sacks.

Maybe Mercilous is a bust too, but he's still a rookie, and he's getting limited playing time. The lack of a pass rush is one of the reasons the secondary looks so bad.

If the Texans don't get more from the edge rushers just mentioned they are not going far in the playoffs. Not only that, Tom Brady & the Patriots could have a field day against the Texans two weeks from now.

To me it was amazing to see how Ruud was so much better.

Lay off the caps please. In a dream world, Sharpton and Cushing would man the inside linebacker positions. In the Texans world, Sharpton and Cushing have been out for most of the year. I actually think Bradie James has been playing well the past three games. You do realize this was the first time we gave up rushing TD's all season? We have had good run defence all year, so James must be doing something right as the inside linebacker.

Man the play that nobody is talking about that im mad at is when Brandon Harris got called for hitting a defenseless receiver when logan was returning the punt. Logan did not signal fair catch and Harris made him pay.

Last year we were decimated by injuries on offense, now it's the defense. Wade has his work cut out for him the rest of the season. I hope some of the injured can make it back and be healthy for the playoffs.

Went to one of the Titans fan boards; what a bunch of arrogant jerks. They think the Ravens will end up the number one seed in the AFC and they (Titans) will easily beat the Texans, but will likely lose to the Packers. What?!

I'm pretty sure even if no fair catch is called, you have to give the receiver a 5 yard cushion prior to the hit...to avoid situations just like that.

Shouldn't take anything for granted. Very conceivable the Ravens surpass us if we're not careful, though it is a bit of a stretch to think the Titans can beat us easily..especially after what we've been through the last few weeks. Beat us, perhaps, as division games are always tough. But easily, hell no.

My only problem is it seems that Barwin and Reed never seem to beat their guys one on one to get a sack. IMO they are out there instead of Mercilus because of their coverage and run support skills more than their pass rush abilities.
