That's fine that he's a Texan, but I would rather see Lundy start. The kid has earned it this preseason.
According to that article, they think he might start for us... I would use him more as a 3rd down/goal back.
Dayne was #1 on the Broncos depth chart at the start of camp. He had a very lackluster camp, didn't play much during preseason due to an injury, and Mike Bell and Cedric Cobbs rendered him obsolete. I've heard that he has motivation problems too, those contributed to him being cut by the Broncos. Why anyone would pick up Roc Alexander is totally beyond me (and I'm a Broncos fan). He was the one who got torched by Reggie Wayne for 220 yards in the playoffs two seasons ago.
He was a rookie and they didn't pick him to be a starter. He will likely be the kick returner and 5th CB.
Well, this is our 2006 Houston Texans...Never thought I'd see RonD a Texan and Carr still here ( )... I'm cautiously optomistic for this season...Me thinks they'll win 7 games...
He's not great on third down becuase he's not really a power back or has a power running style despite being big. He sucks, I don't know why thtey got him really. I remember when he was with the Giants, he was just awful. He just runs into the line and then falls over. If they start him or give him the bulk of the carries that's pathetic.
Hasn't Morency proven to be a better blocker than Lundy? I think the starter is whoever picks up the blitz the best. So, it would not surprise me if Dayne is the starter until one of the other two pick up their blocking.
