A ton of penalties, poor execution, and DROPPED PASSES. Carr has been inconsistent, but he has hit guys right on their hands, only to have them drop it (just like that last INT). The Cowboys defense has been good, but we've definitely had our opportunities.
All of a sudden, you're no longer a Titans fan, you're no longer a Texans fan... just another neutral reporter, huh?
Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't it drapg that wanted on the Texans bandwagon during a stretch last season?
No, you're correct... that's why I posted that comment. I still remember his column where he declared that he no longer loved the Titans (mostly due to no more Eddie George, McNair being hurt, and the team LOSING), and he now was a Texans fan.
I tried to get on the Texans bandwagon, but I just don't feel the love for this team at all, try as I have. But since I live in Houston, I watch them every week. I don't live and die by their wins/losses like the Oilers. But I know a lot of people who do, and they (ya'll) are in for a long season if this is any indication.
Some thoughts: Carr had really good protection, and couldn't seem to do anything with it. Perhaps he's just used to being on the run and therefore is better when he get's no protection. Defense looked good, except when it came to 2 minute D and they just couldn't put it together. Thier blitzes were telegraphed and obvious, and we couldn't get any pressure. Morency looked good for the most part, but two things. He need to stop friggin bouncing it out and making quick cuts to the out side. He's not playing baseball, stop sliding into home. Penalties. I hope Capers ripps the Texans a new one in the locker room. Really liked the Offensive line and Riley. They did thier job well.
btw ...didn't the NFL outlaw the Roy Williams horse collar tackle? hes done that move several times tonight and i havent seen any flags
Uhh... CBS is a national broadcast... ABC is a local one. I'd think you'd have more common sense, given your espn.com reporting, etc.
And the inventor of the term "bandwagon" rests humbly in his grave... Also, I bet you weren't "living and dying" with the Oilers when they were going 3-13, 5-11, and 5-11 in Moon's first three years here.
Hey... no problem... I'm actually not meaning to rip on you, I'm just taking out the frustrations of the Texans game on somebody.
Im watching this game tonight on ABC and I get the feeling that Im watching in on KNWS .....pretty ****ty broadcast
Lets just be thankful that the NFL doesn't allow "local broadcasts" of any regular season games. Football really needs that national signal boost to look decent on TV.
