A lot of it has to do with Travis Johnson being a really bad pick and Weaver's lack of pass rush ability. Amobi is still very young and inexperienced, he still has a ton of potential given more games and perhaps a better scheme. I won't be upset if we spend another 1st rounder on the DL if we the guy is worth the pick, but I think guys like Bulman and Robinson have proven that you don't necessarily have to spend high draft picks to get good production.
