Kubiak can publicly say anything he wants to, but if Allen in practice looks to be one of the two best CBs we have, he will play.
This guy is garbage. Saw him get abused in two straight MNF games. He slips about as much as Kareem. I really do think McNair is about the money. Why not sign Harris?
Did you ever think maybe Harris wanted to play in Miami (his hometown) more than Houston? Last time I checked, he actually had a say in this. I heard a guy complaining on the radio that Houston didn't do anything to sign him. I don't get this logic that if someone doesn't sign here, it automatically means we didn't show any interest. This isn't Madden 2011 where you can just sign anyone you want anytime. Not sure how much an injured 36-year old would have helped us anyway.
I was with you until the last sentence. Probably immensely. It boggles my mind we didn't have a vet corner on the team to even help with the transition to our young secondary.
I hear what you're saying, but my point was that it should have been addressed during the offseason. Al Harris arriving in the middle of the season isn't going to do much to help. It's basically impossible to fix this problem on the fly unless you make a HUGE Champ Baily for Clinton Portis type trade.
I agree they should have had that taken care of it in the offseason but i can't complain to much because I didn't want to resign Dunta, which, in hindsight was a terrible move to let him go.
From what I hear, the Texans actually pushed pretty hard for Harris, but he wanted to go home to Miami.
Kubiak had Foster around last year, but refused to look in another direction while Slaton and Brown fumbled the ball in critical situations like it was groundhogs day. Kubiak sticks to his guys. Nolan got buried again, when they should be getting him some reps in live action.
this myth is gaining more and more run and it's an unfair criticism. Foster had a knee injury for the first part of the year. He played into shape and earned the starting spot. There are plenty of legitimate things to bash Kubes for and this just isnt one of those places.
Foster admitted last year the he had a bad work ethic to start the season and was still pissed off about being undrafted. Nolan played a lot last week and Kubes said he is getting more PT going forward. By the way, Bernard Pollard has been so terrible in coverge this year. He was a very good pickup last year but this season he hasn't played well. Pollard. According to the Chronicle, he has been thrown at 29 times, giving up 22 passes for 305 yards and seven touchdowns which leads the league.
