Arm strength on both Texan QBs leaves much to be desired...

Because he always comes into the game with the team hopelessly losing, and the defense no longer interested in bringing big-time pressure.

That being said, Rosenfels is not that much worse than Schaub... certainly not $60 million/multiple first day picks worse.

That sort of investment could buy this team at least 2-3 new linemen.

You know, most fans that weren't around Houston laughed when I told them the debate around Bush/VY/Mario. Likewise, most fans that weren't around Houston laughed when I told them how excited we all were about Matt Schaub. Why? Because the offensive line never was addressed in either scenario.

Yes, losing McKinney hurt the offensive line. But even if he hadn't gotten hurt, I think the results would be similar. The Texans, for the most part, had a timing-oriented quick drop passing system in those first two games. But since then, the league has caught up to that and played a lot more press coverage, knowing the Texans don't have the time to allow big plays to develop downfield.

In six years... the most the Texans have done to ever address the offensive line was a couple of third-round draft picks. No choices in the first two rounds. No major free agent signings. Same old excuses, season after season... they don't fit into the scheme... our current line will be fine once they gel and adapt to zone blocking... etc.

I'm tired of it. Other than Boselli, the Texans haven't made a single effort in six years to infuse legitimate, elite talent to the offensive line. There's always an excuse. The reality, however, is that what they have up front simply isn't talented enough to get it done, regardless of who the QB or RB is.

Agreed. Every year, we talk about who we want in the first round of the NFL Draft, and every year (or just about), I've always gone with an OL player. This f***ing team never learns. They may not be the "sexy" pick at the top of the draft, but you gotta build your team with first-day OL picks. Are we in a death spiral?

Cleveland has never been to the Super bowl in 50 years. And people are calling The Texans cursed and saying they will never be a fan etc.

I know this is going to sound bad but . .. The Texans are CHEAP!
They tried to et BUSTcelli on the cheap cause he was damaged . . . it did not work out
They have not invest $$$ in the OL
Carr was signed because he was the cheaper option [would sign before the draft]
Mario was the same senario .. . [would sign before the draft]
    Cheap Cheap Cheap!

I'm not saying open a flood gates but if you wanna run with the big boys
you gonna have open the wallet and take a risk

I don't like hearing that SIGNABILITY was the reason you sign Mario over Reggie
I mean . . i know Reggie is a bust. . . but if you LEGITIMATELY thought he was the better player. .you get the better player
[It was lucky that he was not]

Soon they will realize. . they gonna have to pump some REAL MONEY into the OLine

Well in the 2007 draft I wanted them to go for Levi Brown or failing that, Marshawn Lynch. Brown was picked by Arizona before the Texans' pick and they passed on Lynch for Okoye. Both guys would have helped the offense tremendously.

What I'm hoping is that this flushes that Denver arrogance about offensive linemen and running backs completely out of Kubiak's system once and for all. After this season, if he doesn't finally understand that you just can't win in this league with guys named "Herb" manning your o-line or RB positions, then his butt should be gone.
