Oh yeah. Forgot. We're the road team and it's possible we may wear all white, or white tops. Yes, I know that previous games, both teams wore color, but the league chose the teams with jerseys that color blinded people could not see, so they think that one team may need to wear white.
There was a line in Draft Day where Jennifer Garner's character points out that in a macho sport with grown men hitting each other repeatedly for 60 minutes, the greatest sign of achievement is a piece of jewelry (Superbowl ring).
What is up with the Ravens pattern??? I guess that's the Maryland stage flag. Seems strange but then again a state flag is exactly what the Texan's normal jerseys consist of.
I always thought he we had some of the better uniforms in the league... Especially considering we don't have storied history in certain jerseys like the cowboys or packers or Steelers.
That would be awesome if I didn't catch up with the Houston each morning. Mo murder, mo murder, mo murder....
no, thanks. loser franchise that stabbed us in the back and is now in Neckville. Losing. The Oilers died. I cried at the funeral. I moved on.
Amazing how time heals, huh? Yeah. I'm with you. I think too many fans only remember the good times; you think the Texans are a poorly-run, mostly unsuccessful franchise? Yeah, you were obviously born after 1993. Also, while I mostly agree that the Texans colors are obvious and their uniform design benign... there are still people anti that logo? That logo is the SHIITE; fact, proven by science. It's an awesome logo.
This tickles the nostaglia boner just right. A clear nod to the best parts of Houston's football legacy, while still maintaining the modern identity.
Texans logo is pretty damn good considering the rest of the league and the fact we haven't had time to become iconic. That said the colors are weak. After white and black, blue and red are the most common colors in the NFL. Because the NFL was already full of Blues and Reds we got watered down versions of each. It would have been amazing to do something innovative for the US and the NFL by introducing a horizontal or vertical striped jersey. Something like a Barcelona Red/Blue stripes horizontal/vertical.
I thought the tac's owned all the rights to the oilers including the rights to using Columbia blue. very cool if not and love the mock's above. If they are anything close to that - I will have to be a jersey wearer.
It's a once-a-year NFL approved thing. Those jerseys above are seriously, seriously awesome. Watching the Texans in those...damn, I don't think I've ever had an erection that lasted 3 hours that didn't involve a viagra.
