Bills 41 Texans 9 The Texans will score two of their three field goals after turnovers by the Bills. This game will be over by the middle of the second quarter, 21-0 Bills. the Texans will get their first field goal in the waning moments of the First half. The Bills opening drive of the first half will be a 4 play, 80 yard drive resulting in a TD. The Texans will turn the ball over before getting a first down on the ensuing drive and punt. The bills will then score on the first play do go up 35-3. If The Texans win more than four games this year I'll change my signature to say "I don't know crap about the NFL"
That didn't happen last season when Davis fumbled over and over again and they lost to the Chargers in an embarrasement.
Probably be the crap crew with least camera angles and annoucers Tasker and that black guy, Beasly (I think that's his name).
I think Brent Jones is good and he may be doing better games in the next few years. I agree with the analysis from the scout posted above, the Bills can be a very good team this year if they get decent qb play.
Wow... I guess showing no love for the Texans is the "cool thing to do now." And you guys actually dare to wonder why Houston gets such a bad rap as a "fair-weather sports town around the nation. Personally, I can't be ecstatic with our progression... but I haven't been all that dissapointed either. We have made progress every year... its just that this year, the team doesn't look as good on paper or in the pre-season as they were in previous years. Is it a good reason to jump ship and lose all faith all-together?... no... but all too often, that's what happens in Houston (so why am I even typing this like i'm suprised???... I mean, there are still people out there who refuse to get excited about the Rockets until they reach the second round of the playoffs, let alone that they have the most dedicated coach, the most exciting player in the league and the most intriguing big man).
Obviously the fans have given up. 14 people in this thread think the Texans will win and 4 predict a loss(didn't count the sarcastic predictions) in a game where the Bills are favored.
I know... but the general sentiment throughout the pre-season, and on all the call-in shows has been that the Texans have already regressed and are poised to have a bad season... before the season actually happens. Also, you never would have seen a thread titled "The Texans should hit the restart button" here without that sort of growing feeling spurred by a.)the bad pre-season, and b.)the lack of significant new additions to this team to give the fans somebody else to be optimistic about. Thus, for the first time in franchise hitory, there's doubt, concern, and negativity surrounding this franchise... when all it has done thus far is build and improve on each and every season. I just ask for a little optimism until they actually start to play the regular season games.... this is, after all, the NFL (where every year since 1999 has featured a suprise team(s) out of nowhere).
I have no clue why everyone thinks our team is so horrible this year. It's not even just the people on here, it's the general media. You have about 2 percent of them saying that we're making a push for the playoffs, and then the rest calling us the doormats of the league(Page 2 on ESPN, for one). We're definitely not as bad as we were last year, and to me, our schedule seems to be slightly easier this year. We added quality players in Greenwood and Buchanon. We added a viable deepfield threat on our recieving squad. To me, we're much improved from last year. That coupled with the fact that the Bills made NO major changes, and now have a (basically) rookie quarterback starting makes me predict the Texans over the Bills 24-10. I live outside of Buffalo, and it seems to me that the Bills are vastly overrated this year.
The Bills didn't have to make major changes because they closed very strong last year after getting off to a bad start. Their only question mark is at qb.
The bad start is just a cop-out though. In all reality, they had every chance to make the playoffs and simply blew it. They could have basically locked up a spot on any of the last 3 or 4 weeks of the season, but simply didn't get the job done. In the end, they ended up losing to Pittsburgh's second and third stringers on the last game of the season with a playoff spot on the line. Needless to say, the Texans beat them last year behind Tony Banks.
