Well... we don't know that now do we.... but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be putting up their same #'s playing behind the likes of Victor Riley and Todd Wade.

Also, Troy Aikman was pretty awful before Dallas improved their O-line... now he's in the hall of fame.

Did someone just say that if we had Manning instead of Carr it would make no difference???

Where do these idiots come from?

Manning might be better than Carr... but he wouldn't be as good as he is in Indy right now. That's what the "idiots" are saying. This O-line hinders this team.

No, he asked where these idiots are from (I presume he's calling you an idiot but don't want to idiotically assume).

Yes the O-line was bad today but David Carr was horrible. He doesn't know how to read defenses and he holds the ball to damn long.

Give the Texans a QB that knows how to read defenses and make quick decisions and you would not be doubting Pgab.

Carr has a good arm, good athleticism, but does not make quick smart decisions.

Carr is one of the MAJOR problems on this team.

Why punt at the end of the game? :(

I've gotten used to weak play calling from Capers. But if this guy gives up on our team again I want him and his whole staff fired seconds after the game.

    Terrible

Kurt Warner was once a 2-time NFL MVP... did he all of a sudden forget how to read defenses?

Look guys... I'm not giving Carr all the credit in the world... nor do I think an average o-line puts him in the HOF... but to hinge the entire debate on whether Carr is the main reason why this team is where it is on whether or not he can "read a defense" is really reaching.

Damn Nick, stop defending the Texans and Carr. Screw David Carr, we need Vince Young.

We've had multiple draft choices - many wasted and now it's come back to haunt us.

Ive never been a fan of Charley Casserly and always believed he was way overrated.

His "reach" picks have not been fruitful and for some reason, continues to ignore the OL on draft day.

Carr is just an average quarterback. I think 5 years from now he will still be making the same mistakes he is making now. If the Texans go 6-10 or worst this season they should fire Capers, Palmer, and start looking for a real QB because this is getting ridiculous.

Losman was pressured too, he stepped up in the pocket, stayed calm, side stepped defenders. Carr runs around in a panic and runs out of bounds. I think its a combination of things, the o-line, etc... but either way Carr just isn't that good and its taken people 4 years to finally realize this.

He got lucky to be put on an expansion team, any other team and he'd either be gone or on the hot seat just like harrington, their numbers a similar but harrington is on the hot seat and if Jeff Garcia hadn't been hurt then he'd probably be starting.

I've always said two things from the beginning.
    1. We should have drafted Julius Peppers and picked up a veteran qb to start this team and
    2. Dom Capers is a very conservative coach and a bad one at that.

A combination of all of it and we have probably the worst team in the NFL this year, i'll be surprised if we win more than 3 games and I said that even before this game started, I wasn't surprised at all at what I witnessed today.

What game did you guys watch?

Losman had plays where he had 5-10 seconds to throw! He had all day! We generated absolutely no pass rush and the announcers commented on it quite frequently. The only rush we generated was when we blitzed a corner, which left us vulnerable down the field. Losman was able to stay calm and make plays under pressure because in order to be under pressure, the Texans had to take members of the secondary away. Carr was under pressure from mostly the down linemen (and occasionally the linebackers) and thus had no one open downfield.

It can be the Rohan Davey era, the Vince Young era, the Peyton Manning era, the John Elway era... they're all going to suck if they don't have time to throw. I've watched football for 15 years and watched on tape for many years before that... I've never in my life seen an offensive line this bad. In fact, I haven't seen one close. There's nothing to compare this to. No quarterback can be more than "average" in this situation.

    WHAT?!!!!

he was NEVER pressured! The guy had ALL day to choose where to throw it or run.

EDIT: Like The Cat said, the only time he was pressured is when the secondary was moving in and all he had to do was toss it up. Everyone was wide open them. LIke in that TD of theirs.
