I want to cut Sua Filo's hair. And then cut him from the team. Dude is almost as bad as Chris Clark. Oh....wait.....
Yeah, I agree. Short pass to left sideline to Hopkins seemed to be the only pass play in the playbook. Baby steps. New England should be prepared to squash that next week, but we should have plenty of time to work on using the whole field to pass. He has to learn not to zoom in on one player 90% of the time, and Bill and his experts should be able to fix that easily, with their offensive coaching skills.
I think a QB like Watson is the only guy that can really have success in our current offense. The OL is just abhorrent - it felt like there was pressure on almost every single play. If you're not going to pay Brown then damn Rick, freaking draft or sign some guys.
After the game, somebody on the Bengals shouted in the locker room, "we just lost to the worst team in football."
Watt was creating good pressure but where was Clowney? Dude isn't injured so what's the excuse for MIA the last 2 games? McKinney and Cunningham looked great. If Clowney and Mercilus play like they can this LB corp is awesome. Cut Cushing asap and give his money to Duane Brown. There are guys sacking groceries somewhere better than our guards and tackles.
I'm sure Bill wanted to play it safe with the pass, but we can't rely on pass left to Hopkins every week. Hopefully he teaches Watson to look left AND right and gets other receivers involved, because all eyes will be on Hopkins, and we should be able to get some other guys open downfield. Maybe he just used Jaelen as a prop, and the go to pass play was just look for Hopkins and throw, or run around and try to dump off a short pass. Maybe Bill didn't want him to go deep, and risk an interception. Glad we won, but some of those passes short passes were really shaky, and we got lucky a couple didn't get intercepted. A win is a win though, and at least he got a good run along with it.
True more of a right place right time as the ball just popped up right to him. And then he got tackled by a QB. But where are the sacks and tackles for loss?

LOL, dogging Clowney when he scooped up the fumble Jackson caused. That was the best defensive play in the game.
Maybe already posted.... Deshaun's 49-yard TD-run breaks the franchise's record for longest QB-run, previously held by Carr (36 yards).
Or it's looking like BOB really trusted and had hopes for Savage and when **** got real Savage let him down.
Besides the fumble return, Clowney was more involved than you realize. They were focusing more on Watt but Clowney was creating pressure and clogging holes. I remember at least 1 TFL and the stats are showing a PD, along with 4 tackles. I agree with cutting Cushing. Cunningham, while still raw and a little small, played well.
Yea not sure anyone can complain about a D that only gave up 9 points (I know the bungles but still) with all of the secondary injuries sustained and so many young players getting significant reps. btw..., Cunningham looks like a pretty good damn pick so far.
Wasn't on here last night to say that what JJ did to that poor Bengals lineman on the last play was mean. It was just mean... And a freakin awesome way to end the game.
Guessing Braxton is the current #2 and they didn't go 3 wide very often. When they did, Ervin was in the slot. I'd guess he'll be more involved next week as a way of mixing it up.
In this defense I don't think clowney can be measured with sacks and tfl's. He was out there covering receivers, tight ends, setting the edge, etc. Now we can debate whether this is the best use for him. I think if he was in a traditional 4-3 lined up over the opposing right tackle the numbers would be much better. Give him credit though he's a team player and has done whatever the coaches have asked of him.
