That call was beyond terrible. There was good camera footage from mulitple angles. The network even put a split-screen up to compare it to Tom Brady against the Raiders, and it looked almost identical. Just an aweful call. I wanted the Texans to get blown out. If that didn't happen, I would have wanted them to win. What I didn't want was for them to lose in a close game. Heh.... they can't even lose properly. However, in all fairness, I'd say this game was a good step in the right direction.
as a Dolphin fan, I would love to have Carr on my team but I dont think its going to happen. Carr has been sacked 20 times in 3 games and needs some protection. Granted, I did not see the game but he has the tools, he just needs a chance to show them
didn't see the game, nor many, but at what point do you look at Carr as the sack problem. Some qb's just suck like Rob Johnson, Drew Bledsoe, and so on. They will never see the red zone with 6 sacks a game. Tenn has no pass rush to speak of, so next week ought to be interesting. It's bad on bad.
Exactly, he holds the ball too long, locks in on one receiver and looks at the rush instead of downfield. DD
I haven't seen a game this year, but if they are as uninspiring as is reported, then I'd find it hard for capers to stay employed barring something miraculous - which is good, IMO, the guy caught lighting in a bottle one year in Carolina back when the expansion teams were given a windfall fo talent but hasn't really show much before or since.
I think that those that think Leinhart would save this team are missing the point entirely. No NFL QB could have success with this line. It did look better than the Steeler game though. Perhaps we will turn this around. I'm just hoping we draft for the best OL available after the season.
The only hope is that Carr's career turns around like Terry Bradshaw's did. Right now, the team is really really bad. DD
I dint' get a chance to watch sports center or anything today..did anyone actually bring up the call and make a big deal about it or as most houston things they completly ignored it and made it just a minor detail?
Stuart Scott did the actual highlight, and when the play came up they froze Carr's arm and Stuart said "Uh, looks like the ball is in David Carr's hand with his arm going forward, but the plays would stand as a fumble" and at this point Scott Van Pelt was in outburst - "Oh My God!!! thats just a horrible call, a horrible call!". Something to that effect.
by the way....has that official been fired yet???? seriously he had like 10 DAMN minutes to make the worst call i've seen with instant replay.
