I have to see even though we lost, I was impressed with the game... and of course we were robbed by the officials EVEN with the replay.
You have GOSTA be sh*tting me . . . SACKED on the last play of the game Carr's Football IQ [and Pendry] looks very low on the last possession Rocket River
Yeah, the last drive was brutal...short dumps into the middle of the field? Gaffney running into the middle of the field and not out of bounds? David Carr not airing it out when that's our last prayer? But damnit, we put up a good fight...
Great.....still lost...nothing to be gained from losing.... The team is just horrid....they need an entirely new direction, especially on offense. DD
The thing that pisses me off is that was the ONE possession so far this season that we could really see what Carr was made of... and they robbed him of that opportunity. That was his one chance to prove everyone wrong or prove them right... wish he would have gotten that chance.
I can understand...and like I said, I thought it was a horrible call as well, but what do you mean whats the point of replay? The ref looked at it and in his perspective thought it was a fumble....if they didnt have replay and the ruling would of stood without a look, I bet lots of people would be crying out for replay.
Like I said before the game, much better effort but not enough horses to pull out a game like this. No quick turnaround for this team. A very long season ahead.
The refs made a bad call, but during the last 40 seconds it didn't even look the texans were trying to win.
Yeah, I know how that reads. Point is that I wouldn't say that the d for that game was awful, and I wouldn't say it was good, or even "ok". The d didn't have much to do with the ineptitude of the Bills offense. I'd say the same thing for today. The d looked good as far as the scoreboard goes, but the d was bailed out by untimely penalties, bad calls, and poor execution rather than the d imposing its will. As far as that last call with the fumble, I didn't think it was a fumble, but the Texans had more than their fair share of penalties go their way throughout the game and couldn't get it done earlier. There are no moral victories from this game. They had the bye-week to prepare, had the motivation from the "message" sent to them during that time, and still crumbled when it counted. I'm curious to see how they do against crappy teams now that they've had the wind sucked from their sails.
did the o-line take that sack. did they blow two timeouts. did they throw a one yard pass to davis with 50 seconds and no timeouts. there is blame to go all-around.
Whatever... the O-line is still bad, and there are no good football teams out there with a bad O-line. It is the foundation... if you don't have one, you're not going to win.
So guys....who do you want w/ the #1 pick? Leinhart? Trade it and get 2 quality offensive linemen? I hate this crappy offense...
If the ref really looked at that replay, which I doubt he did (they watch p*rn on those monitors), and still thought it was a fumble, then he should be reprimanded. The reason they brought the replay rule into the NFL is to get the calls right (remember Mike Renfro?). They got this one wrong, WAY wrong. How does Andre Johnson only have 3 touches for the entire game? Granted he dropped an easy screen pass, that is no excuse to not get the ball to your best player. David Carr is wearing out his welcome. His Pretty Boy NFL QB days are numbered. Give Ragone a shot, what do we have to lose?
