lets not forget the Rockets created the Texans because Steve Patterson (Rockets GM who created Championship1) was VP of company that brought the NFL back to Houston.

    Rockets = texan's daddy

they aren't stuntin like their daddy tho

    it is a huge win

that being said. . . they could have won about 3 more
    but

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that they won, but it does us no good. CriscoKidd voiced my basic thoughts in the first page of the tread.

I was at the game. one heck of a game. I predidcted 31-10 colts but i was wrong. We may have dropped in the draft but it was worth it to watch it live.

I voted no because the poll is silly....of course everyone is happy they won a game.

As a budding Texan's fan, I think anything that gets Carr run out of town is better for the team.

So, I want them to lose and get a better draft pick, at least they can get another GREAT player in round 2.....

    :D

I am glad they won the game, but to say tanking is never a good idea is stupid. Do you think the Spurs weren't thrilled with their tank job that netted them Duncan and three championships?

Disagree. Carr STILL had largely a minimal effect on the game. DC again did not win this game or any game this season. The reason we won was because of Great Dayne.

I agree with the others on here that Carr is gone regardless of winning this game and the last win vs Cleveland.

So relax maestro! Short of a Manning meets George Blanda imitation in the final game, Carr could probably even WIN this game and STILL be gone!

Too much has happened, too much has been said.

Philly is tanking for Oden. what if u had a chance to get Shaq? definetly not a bad strategy if your team sucks already. Raiders/Lions are fighting for Brady Quinn.

    No its the truth.
    http://www.nba.com/blazers/sights_sounds/Steve_Patterson-80565-41.html
Patterson was formerly the senior vice president and chief development officer of the Houston Texans NFL franchise, joining Houston NFL Holdings in September 1997 to lead Bob McNair’s successful effort to acquire a National Football League franchise and Super Bowl XXXVIII for Houston. Patterson was responsible for the establishment of the team’s business, legal, media and political operations, as well as the design, finance and construction of Reliant Stadium.
Patterson joined the Aeros following a nine-year stint with the NBA’s Houston Rockets during which he earned a reputation as one of the most respected administrators in the league. The chief architect of the 1993-1994 Rockets squad that captured the first World Championship in franchise history, Patterson was the club’s General Manager and Alternate Governor from 1989-1993.

Educating the readers about Steve Patterson, what he's meant to the city of houston.

how many people know he was the mastermind behind getting the Texans? They knew McNair was the money.

Giving Steve his due plus that he came from the Rockets (9 years).

    I'd like to think you're right. But I don't think you're right.

I think McNair is anything but objective about David Carr. I think he thinks so highly of him as a human being, that he has a real hard time evaluating him properly. If you disagree, just consider the question he asks to potential coaching candidates: "can you win with David Carr?" That question asks more about the potential hire than it does the QB. Given some of the decisions this franchise has made, none of that should surprise you.

If they finish this season with 6 wins...and Carr has another mistake-free game...I think you will see Carr back in Houston next year as the starting QB. Maybe they draft a QB in the 3rd round or something and bring him along.

Well, I guess I kind of assumed that the people who don't give a rat's ass wouldn't bother posting, since those of us who DO care don't give a rat's ass about the people who don't give a rat's ass.
