Taken from the Colts board All of these things need to happen for the Colts to win the division. JAX defeats NO DEN defeats CIN MIA defeats NE BUFF defeats NYJ BALT defeats CIN JAX defeats HOU INDY defeats TENN DEN defeats SD HOWEVER, If JAX loses to NO, then we need OAK to beat KC Bottom line is that the Texans are pretty much safe.
Broncos or Jets in wild-card pls Bengals in divisional round pls Weeden as starter Drop the ****ing wildcat
According to NFL Network the only thing that can clinch the playoffs and the division for the Texans this week is a Cincinnati win vs Denver tomorrow.
But provides the top post is true, there is a miniscule chance that the Texans aren't in even if the Bengals lose. The patriots aren't losing to the Dolphins when they still have a first round bye on the line. Then you need the Chiefs to beat the raiders, the Chiefs still want to get that 5th seed so they get to face Houston instead of a better team in the 1st round. then you are asking for the jets to choke a playoff birth to the Bills? And the Bengals to lose to Ryan Mallett, again with the possibility of a 1st round bye on the line?
I don't care how far fetched it is, I won't feel comfortable until we are officially in. This is Houston.
the saints won but i dont think the texans have clinched. i think the colts can still win the division, they need the following things: broncos win (tomorrow) texans loss colts win broncos win falcons win dolphins win bengals lose jets lose saints lose that would just be enough to tie houston on strength of victory then it would go to strength of schedule then if chiefs lose and steelers win, colts win stength of schedule if neither of those happen, texans win if its 1 and 1 then it goes to the next tiebreaker where they add AFC offense ranking and AFC defense rankings. obv these cant be clinched but texans have a nice lead
The Colts are eliminated from the playoffs if Cincinnati beats Denver on Monday night. Here's the "short" version of what the Colts need to have happen to make the playoffs: >>The Colts beat Tennessee. >>Houston loses to Jacksonville. >>Miami (vs. New England), Denver (vs. San Diego) and Atlanta (vs. New Orleans) win next week. >>Cincinnati (vs. Baltimore) and the New York Jets (at Buffalo) lose. >>Kansas City loses to Oakland. >>Denver and Pittsburgh (at Cleveland) win. Just 10 games need to go the Colts way. Here's the long version: >>The Colts beat Tennessee and Houston loses to Jacksonville next week. >>Miami (vs. New England), Denver (vs. San Diego) and Atlanta (vs. New Orleans) win next week. >>Cincinnati (vs. Baltimore) and the New York Jets (at Buffalo) lose. http://www.indystar.com/story/sports/nfl/colts/2015/12/20/how-can-colts-make-playoffs/77663356/
