Yes, we got a 2nd round pick from them for moving out of the 1st round this season. "In the deal, the Vikings acquired the Texans' No. 23 pick along with a seventh-round pick (No. 232 overall). The Texans received the Vikings' second-round pick (No. 42), their sixth-round pick (No. 188) and their second-round pick in 2025." https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39737620/source-vikings-get-2nd-1st-round-pick-trade-texans We still have 2-24 2-59 For this year's draft picks
CJ Mixon Nico Diggs Tank Schultz What a powerhouse. Don’t see how people can have a problem with getting Diggs. This is stuff NFL fans DREAM of their franchise doing. What a massive offseason.
I'm wondering what's the catch? Injury, injury history, locker room cancer, off-field issues, big contract, due for a big contract, etc. Only a 2nd round pick and Texans receive picks? Eta- just checked his stats. He's 31 and entering his 10th season (time flies). Thought he was only about 7 seasons in. His production dropped last year. Not sure if hw was he Buffalo's #1 WR, but if he's Texans' #3, he should have good numbers and open more for Nico and Tank.
All the anger that was felt for only getting a 2nd rounder for Dhop and having to take in David's contract has completely faded. Bills Mafia is probably not liking it.
Thats the only thing that worries me. That he rubs the locker room who seems already tight knit, the wrong way. Hopefully CJ and a coach like Demeco can turn him around
His contract is only guaranteed for next year, is it not?? Also, his dead cap would only be $8M after June 1, so it stands to reason cutting him following 2 seasons probably would not cost us much of anything.
This trade crashed spotrac lmao. I guess Nick is going all in on offense. I can dig it. An unstoppable QB and elite WR corp is absolutely a championship blueprint you can follow. The compensation is completely reasonable, too. Good value.
HOU #23 + HOU #232 —> MIN #42, MIN 2025 2nd MIN 2025 2nd —> Diggs, BUF 2024 6th, BUF 2025 5th 42 59 86 123 127 188 (189, 200 or 204 from Buffalo) 238 247
I like the trade but have reservations. Diggs is on the downside but he isn't washed up. I'm surprised the Bills weren't able to get more for him. Shows the league doesn't value Diggs very much and he's not "that guy" anymore. He'll "hit the ground running" from game 1, unlike a rookie WR drafted at #42/59/86. Trading this 2025 pick allows the Texans to draft defense at #42 and #59 this year. I love it! Texans are throwing caution to the wind and taking maximum advantage of CJ being on a rookie contract. They aren't focusing on next year but are "all-in" for 2024! We all knew something was going to happen when they restructured Tytus Howard's contract.
Especially with the amount of dead $$$... DHop didn't leave dead $$$$... just left me dead inside... FU Bo'ob
