I promise not to cheer, clap, jump out of my seat when Mixon does anything good.....like score a touchdown in this barbaric inhumane sport. #flagfootballisbetter Go Texans!!
I certainly hope so. He was only 18. All in on forgiveness cuz I’m not special either. His wiki page has other incidents aside from that one we’re referencing. I’ll be rooting for him. Zero chance his life has been as easy as mine was, and I didn’t have to earn any of that.
Get your program out.....sometimes some players look like others from a distance. Yeahhhhhhhhh oh wait, that's Mixon..... nevermind. Go rest of the team!! More power to those picking and choosing whom they deem worthy.....one never knows who has what skeletons in their closets. But ignorance is bliss
Nope - he has been in trouble numerous times since then. Pointing a gun in a woman's face during a traffic stop. He had a run in with the police while still at Oklahoma too. Bob Stoops said he wishes he had kicked him off the football team - that the type of crime he committed in hindsight was not worth a second chance. Mixon has also been involved in a number of civil lawsuits as well. So - Mixon is a POS person, but it is the NFL and anything goes as long as you don't hurt dogs. The Texans will survive having one terrible person on the roster most likely.... it just seems if you are going to take on that baggage it should be for a star. As a player I like Mixon, but I wouldn't want him in my organization and as an employee I would not want to walk in the locker room and deal with Mixon. We will see what happens - the idea that he was 18 at the time would have some validity if he stayed out of trouble since then, but he hasn't.
I don't have a dog in the Mixon fight, but............................ I am always miffed when I see a poster call out a person based on the number of posts they have. The poster you are questioning has over 3k posts. I'm on Clutch for an hour or more daily, reading what others have to say, but I do not always feel the need to post. I have been around here for almost 10 years, but I only have 1,132 posts. Does that mean I am less important or less credible than he is, or a serial poster. I don't need any validation from the board, but t has always baffled me that those who have more time and access to clutch fans are superior to those that although quite interested in the daily goings on just don't have time to dedicate to the board.
Not sure what you're getting at here? I feel the same way you do. FWIW, I'm not sure that we're talking about the same person, either, but I'll hang up and listen, so as not to further this. Just know that I absolutely agree with what you said, and I appreciate your viewpoints.
