OK a conditional 7th is a total win for the Texans. Forget how Mixon may pan out. Minimal loss of draft capital is huge when it comes to RBs
Mixon has lost a step. He's 28 with 1500+ carries. However, Mixon minus a step is still better than most and the fact we got him on and with favorable terms is just sugar on top. If we don't extend him, we get a guy we can showcase for his next big payday all year long. If we extend him, we have a consistent, multi-tool player in the backfield for a few years. As it stands, this is an absolute win. I think he's going to thrive in this offense.
Mattison would be a good get. Also, as a side note, anyone else taking notice of the color change on the signing/trade announcements? Looks an awful lot like the blue we saw Toro in at the UH game. Sounds an awful lot like some of the things people have been saying. There's definitely going to be a slow, leaky effort to give people hints at what the new threads will look like, IMO.

Not a fan of what he did and he definitely didn't need to punch the woman, but looked like she sexually harassed him.
