Eloquent answer, I am impressed with your intellect and ability to expound on your point. Tell me, if they gave up a 4th would you feel good about it?
Is there a risk of Mixon holding out? He has one year on a cheap contract, and the trade effectively robbed him out of getting a market rate contract.
But if they need to sign him to a multi-year deal with more guaranteed money, this is no longer such a good deal.
We can say that but we will see what it looks like in Baltimore too. With Mixon and Stroud I love what we have there.
Its fascinating to see the extreme ebb and flow from our fans. One minute its "Trade Stroud because Caserio aint it" and then they are going coo coo for cocoa puffs over a serviceable RB! Draft week is going to be crazy.
So long as it wasn't anything more than a 6th Rounder, anyone who has a problem with this trade is delusional or is being disingenuous. Joe Mixon is a very good RB who is still only 27 and still has plenty left in the tank. He's also one of the best pass-catching RB's in the league. Again, so long as they didn't vastly overpay, this trade is a major W for the Texans' Offense. Plus, he's notorious for his TD celebrations dances. He'll fit right in with Stroud and the boys. c
^^^ This man knows what he's talking about. Mixon is a perfect fit at a good price. If we extend him 2 years I will be perfectly OK with that. If we let him ride it out I will be OK with that too. There's really no downside here.
I hear he likes to wave guns in women’s faces and tell them they need to be shot. So another KPJ. DD should love him
I remember seeing Mixon play early last season and it seemed like he had lost a step. This video puts that to rest. As a football player, he's a great addition to the team and is a clear upgrade from Singletary.
You can’t typically replicate the production of a legit NFL RB with your run of the mill 7th round pick. Even if Mixon is in Houston for only one year, it’s top notch production, and allows Pearce to get into his flow!
