Yeah. Gotta hope the passing game becomes the dominant aspect of the offense so Mixon's load is manageable and sustainable.
Some of those 30 runs were simply due to circumstance. We needed to ice the game and bleed clock. Either way, if it's working, keep it going.
When it's necessary, keep it going. There ain't no way Mixon lasts the season with 30+ touches a game.
The Colts were backing off to defend the pass. The Texans were taking what the Colts were giving them.
Nice balanced offense. Nico is the TRUTH! Mixon plants the foot and goes! O Line looked great! What was up with that slippery azz turf in Indy tho?
The dude was just phenomenal, the best defense is a great run game, the time of possession was SICK...............keep Richardson off the field. Wow Mixon was a beast and dam DP had a few good carries, still wondering why Akers was not active
I got laughed at in my league too for taking him after I drafted Bijan in round 1. Not going to toot my own horn too much after week 1, but if Joe stays healthy he could be in line for a historic output.
what a good feeling to be able to run the clock out and never give the opposition a chance to (unlike past years)
last year our RBs avg 2.1 ypc against the colts. The Colts allowed 4.1 yards per carry last season. There were 16 teams that allowed more.
It's crazy how comfortable he looked in the zone scheme. Only a week in but it looks like an absolute stroke of brilliance picking him up. The line can make all the holes, but without a back with the vision and patience to take advantage it's meaningless in this scheme.
It's gonna take a minute to wipe the memory of Alfred Blue when I see 28 tote the rock, but a few more performances like that will certainly expedite the process!
Plus he blocks... I think I saw 2 plays where (I am pretty sure it was Mixon) picked up a free rusher and stopped them from impeding CJ
