There seriously should be a rule where the other owners step in and don't let one guy destroy a franchise
It was a gamble by Miami that just paid off bigly. At the moment of the trade you’d have thought those picks would’ve been mid to late first rounders. Obligatory **** butt chin bill 0’buttlicker.
I wonder what the full season pff ratings will be. I think Tunsil started off hot, but got worse. Maybe he's still top 5 in pass blocking and top 15 overall?
PFF rankings: - I didn't pay to subscribe, but you can see their overall ratings (edit- not broken down into pass and run blocking). - I checked the top 20 paid left tackles for 2020. One player is injured for the season. - Tunsil ranks 11th best pff grades out of the top 20 salaries, including the injured player - Tunsil ranks #2 in left tackle salary in the NFL
Yeah this trade sucks right now BUT Tunsil, a coached up Sharping, Martin, move Howard inside, and Charlie Heck at RT has the potential to be a good line. Hell they could get rid of Martin and move Fulton to center.
No...Fans like me can see the Forest from the Trees. It is NEVER as bad as it seems. Let's see what a new regime can do.
Its sad because Tunsil + Tytus + Sharpring was supposed to have you on your way with a young OL that you could pencil in for years. Nobody realized just how bad OBrien and Co. were at spotting and developing talent. It might be easier to identify any above average players drafted by them vs all the busts they were responsible for at OL. A new position coach isnt going to fix this line just by scheme. That is not logical. Tunsil is a one trick pony. He doesnt have the hip drive in the run game to be much of a factor. It was a glaring weakness in Miami and one that supposedly would get better. Its a huge detriment to the playbook. You cant load up and feel like you have a numbers advantage in the run game when going to that side and be successful enough where you could use camouflage sets in other game situations. Sharpring is a bust. Tytus will have to slide inside to guard. Martin is overpaid and below average. Fulton is bad. There needs to be some talent infusion preferably some solid veteran stop gaps that can understand their assignments. That alone would be a win. Team gave up 50+ sacks this year! SMH. (yes I know D4 gets some of those - SOME, but 50?? geez).
Says the guy that was all for Bill O’Brien getting a chance to start this season as the coach despite everyone telling him that he should be fired already
C'mon man. It's never as bad as it seems?! Yes, it can be worse... but let's call it what it is... a ******* season added on by the fact the picks we gave away are top of the round picks! So yes, it is as bad as it seems. The only thing I agree with you about is hoping we nail our GM and HC pick.
The Dolphins are mocked to pick Devonta Smith in the draft. I'm going to be sick every day until the start of next season.
