The schedule is pretty much set for next year so IMO it would be in the best interest of the Texans to NOT stand pat and do everything they can to improve because it is looking like a much harder schedule as of today. Home - Indy, Tenn, Jax, Dallas, NYG, SD, Oak, Baltimore Road - Indy, Tenn, Jax, Philly, Washington, Denver, KC, NYJ I can see 10-6 but they need to find a nose tackle, safety/corner and a kicker. I got this from Matt Jackson's twitter... MJ4Sports Texans 2010 Schedule,Home:AFC South (3) Dallas, NYG, SD, Oak, Balt Road: AFC South(3) Philly, Wash, Denver, KC, NYJ Much tougher than 2009.
Like I mentioned, keep drafting well and we'll be ok. Knowing our luck, 10 wins won't be enough to get in next season. Lets go for 11! Get well OD!
First things first, we can't finish with only 1 or 2 wins in the division again. We were 1-5 in division this year and 8-2 in all other games. Have to get at least 3 or 4 wins against the AFC South.
Based off of that schedule, I can definitely envision the Texans winning 10 games. Shouldn't be too bad, especially if the Texans keep the momentum from this year.
True, but the good teams will be good and bad will be bad its the mid level teams like the Giants, Tennesse and Denver that can shift the schedule from really hard to manageable.
Man, the NFL changes so much from year to year... the Steelers went from champs to out of the playoffs... you never know what will be a gimmie and what will be a slugfest
That's the RUB - The TEXANS ALWAYS HAVE MOMENTUM AT THE END OF THE YEAR??!! Home - Indy, Tenn, Jax, Dallas, NYG, SD, Oak, Baltimore Road - Indy, Tenn, Jax, Philly, Washington, Denver, KC, NYJ I think they can beat all the teams in Orange. And the Red are division games which will make or break the season This is as those teams are NOW. but next year. . .we will see Rocket River
That's not the correct schedule. The opponents in bold should be flipped. Correct Texans 2010 opponents: Home -- Colts, Jaguars, Titans, Cowboys, Giants, Chargers, Chiefs, Ravens. Away -- Colts, Jaguars, Titans, Eagles, Redskins, Broncos, Raiders, Jets. The schedule you had was from the old formula. 2010 is the first year of the new modified schedule. Slight change for the matchups for teams playing the West in each conference. For the AFC West, San Diego and Kansas City are paired together while Denver and Oakland are paired together. That means a team playing SD and KC will either play both of them at home or both on the road. Same thing for DEN and OAK. For the NFC West, Seattle and St. Louis are paired together while Arizona and San Francisco are paired together. Texans are not playing the NFC West next season so it doesn't matter.
Thanks for the correction, I got it from Matt Jackson's twitter so I figured he had worked out all the scheduling formulas.
I can't really tell how this team will be next season, let alone worry about the teams we are going against next season. I do expect us to be able to handle Jacksonville next season, we won't have Chris Brown to drop the ball or turn it over then. Hopefully, we will have a NT that can hold out against MJD or collapse the pocket making it harder for mobile QBs like Garrad and Young have trouble.
At least we'll be getting more prime time matchups that will demand sunday and monday night attention.
