oh course, just like other successful Houstonians, other lesser talented houstonians diss on their fellow hero cause of Jealousy. What's wrong with taking $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ more money?
why are people so ticked off? its BASEBALL, there's no LOYALTY, or hell even fair game in that 'sport'. NBA=GOOD MLB=EVIL
Again I have to ask: Why are so many people obsessed with what the Titans will or won't do next season? The real issue is what will the Texans do next season and how well they do or do not do is not linked to what the Titans will or won't do (except for their 2 head-to-head games). We now return you back to the VY Hatefest currently in progress...
It probably has nothing to do with the fact that they're a division rival. And since when do sports fans not care about the success of other teams. Most Rockets fans hate the Mavs, a lot of Astros fans hate the Cards, etc.
when the charlotte bobcats face the new orleans/ok hornets (the former charlotte team), the rivalry and intensity defies logic. charlotte fans hate chris paul and their owner. they boo like creatures from the thriller video when peja shoots the ball. its intense man!
Like I've said before: If this bothers you folks so much, then grow a thicker skin or learn to live with it because you are going to hear about VY & RB every time they do something great until the Texans start winning (if that ever happens...).
RM95, it all smacks of petty jealousy and I don't have time to be jealous of other teams because their management happens to have a f**king clue. Instead of investing so much emotion in what the Titans will or won't do, folks should be holding Kubiak & Co.'s feet to the fire because from where I'm sitting, the Texans under his stewardship haven't exactly set the world on fire so far.
I have. I'm rooting for the Texans which don't include Reggie Bush or Vince Young and never will. It just gets annoying when I'm trying to listen or read about my team and hear people (just this morning, in fact) say how they won't ever forgive the Texans for not listening to the demand of the fans. If you're not going to forgive them or won't get over it, move on. Go root for another team. Reggie Bush or Vince Young will never be Texans. At this moment, you can argue that it sucks, but it's still the fact. And it's been a fact for 14 months now. I'll be over my marriage and moved on 14 months from now yet you have thousands of these miserable bastards still whining about no Vince or Reggie.
Cause it's been one whole season where they inherited a 2-14 team. But yeah, you've got a whole lot to go on there. I've read your posts in the GARM too. I'm wondering why you even bother watching sports if it's so miserable to you.
Nothing, I like Jacksonville... I was refering to someone else's prediction, that said Texans would sweep Jacksonville this year.
I've forgiven the Texans. But I haven't forgiven the nasty popcorn and hot dogs at Reliant. Its unforgivable! CHEAP AZZ Texans management, get some good grub! When I went to the BEARS game in Chicago, the hot dogs were sweeeeet!
no loyalty? how about craig biggio? the man took less money to stay here. i would argue his staying was a big reason why we still have baseball in houston (though not the most important reason)
I'm not miserable - more like intensely pissed off at the generational stupidity that infects the management of Houston professional sports teams but I digress. And that "he's only been here one season" argument is a huge cop out. In that one season he's managed to draft a guy no. 1 in the entire draft who should have been drafted lower thereby passing on 3 potentially franchise QBs and a difference making RB/WR. His decision on David Carr will haunt him for years to come because it was that decision that led him to pass on said QB talents in the draft only to end up cutting Carr (because he had no trade value) and trading for Atlanta's backup QB. And this is supposed to fill me with optimism?
