Kicking the Texans while They are Down

Frank Gifford and Jon Madden just said after Reggie Bush scored a touchdown. "Reggie Bush is fun to watch unless you're a fan of the Houston Texans."

Its a bad day for us Texans fans. The pick isnt looking too hot right now. To make matters worse....Bush and Travis Henry are on the bench on my fantasy team.

Lol, I just posted this at the same time in the VY thread.

I could not agree more -- worst draft mistake since Sam Bowie.

After watching VY give the whole city the finger with his game winning scamper, then watching Reggie Bush defy logic on his TD run, I am speechless.
All I can say is, there is a special place in hell for Charley Casserly after his idiotic analysis of talent for four drafts, then torching the bridge behind him as he left.

I guess this isn't the 'official' thread for the game but.

Man, that was a great play by the Saints just then. How nice is it to fake to both McAllister and Bush and still have Brees able to make a play for you.

Exactly. It's amazing how effective he (and Deuce) can be even when they don't get the ball.

Even Dick Vitale said, how do you pass up players like Vince Young and Reggie Bush during the LSU-Texas game.

He still has yet to show he can RUN the football effectively out of the backfield, which is the focus of why people were questioning him. He's mediocre at best between the tackles and hasn't shown many signs of changing that. He's a great complementary player though and is already the best pass-catching RB in the league. He's in the perfect situatin in NO - there is a workhorse back who can do the real running, a loaded receiving corps and possibly the best QB in the NFL this season. On the Texans- I think we'd see a big dropoff in his performance, as he's a lot more dependent on other factors than Young is.

He's a franchise player whether he can run between the tackles or not; I think he will eventually. He is a special player, like Vince. Criticize him for what he isn't, if you want to... but I think we can agree to take the "BUST" label off of him that some Texans football experts are dying to put on him.

I think he would help the Texans, but I do think VY would be a better fit than Reggie.
