We get the largest amount of our oil imports from Canada. Next is Mexico, followed by Saudi Arabia, then it's Venezuela. No where near 50%

edit: since 60% of US oil supply is imported, the amount of oil from Venezuela is close to 5%, give or take.

The Abqaiq facility was pretty huge. You could see the flares from the refinery from miles away.

Thanks for clearing that up Texx.

Seemed like I read somewhere that Venezueula owned Citgo and that oil coming from there was a major percentage of US oil. 5% doesn't sound like that much.

try knocking 5% of our oil out, and it is a pretty huge percentage not to have supplying oil.

Could easily put our gas prices up highhh...
then again thats what my econ teacher said.... seems logical.

Except that they would sell to someone else, freeing up the oil that customer used..for us. Market forces are hard to defeat.

So I see they're trying to adopt similar methods used in Iraq to disrupt oil production.

The Saudis have been kicking arse lately, I am impressed! those guards who died while intercepting the terrorists are the real heroes and martyrs.

Al-Qaida will have to revert to targeting low-security areas and soft targets again...how about killing some more people in another housing complex? F****** crazy bastards.

My parents were describing the security situation at our Aramco Compound in Dhahran. They said it looked like a futureistic army at every gate at our compound. They had on full body armor, and helmets. They had Armored Vehicles with turrets facing outwards. Cops are everywhere. My mom said it looked like a warzone. And we've been around that since we've been there since '89.

Just insane, but this **** isn't going to mess up my summer plans. I'm headed there for some R&R. Going scuba diving at the Red Sea. Can't wait.

And the Saudi's anti terrorism security has been fantastic the last couple of years. They have really beaten the terrorists to the punch.

The true heros really are the security men who die protecting others, and keeping the Country stable both economically, and safe.

Ya, when the interior ministry was attacked, there were soldiers in tanks off of every other street

Imagine Bissonnnet and Highway 6 having a tank smack in the middle of the median with soldiers just chilling there gaurding the area.
