This guy is an a-hole. He doesn't deserve anything from PT to my respect until he earns it.

I wanted to believe in this guy, but he said it himself. Everyone has an opinion...and T-Will hasn't given us much to believe in. I trust the Rockets staff enough to know if this guy deserves minutes. If he's smart he would work hard with the Rockets who are second to none at developing talent in this league.

T-WILL I SEE YOUR LACK OF CONFIDENCE EVERY TIME YOU TAKE A SHOT. TALK TO SOMEONE!

Why does he think everyone is obese or a nerd?
    Some serious classification.

Aahaha i like how TWill assumes that we're all "overweight"... Well TWill, i guess it's fair for me to assume that you're going to be broke in 5 years.

All I will say is that he should be happy he's not playing in New York because I can just see it now if JR Smith tweeted this stuff the headline on multiple Knicks columns would be -

"Terrence Williams takes to Twitter to call fans Overweight."

Lucky for him, he's in Houston and the only people paying attention are on Clutchfans. Whatever. You did "OK" last night in the game, but you need to highlight your strengths and hide your weaknesses as much as possible on the court. I dont care about your personal life. Just help this team win dude.

I don't know why we wouldn't have the balls to go to dinner with Terrence Williams. I would love to give him some constructive criticism. I'd tell him he is very talented but that he just needs to harness it and use it to the best of his ability. And that he's not earning respect from his fans by insulting them. Some of us here have been watching Rockets basketball since the 80's so some, not all, know what they are talking about. It seems that Williams doesn't take criticism very well. If a different player like Kobe Bryant said that then there is no way I would criticize him because he is a proven player. Williams, sadly has done nothing, I don't want to see him fail, in fact I'm rooting for him to become great.

That would be a waste of time and very uncouth besides. Here a dude is buying you dinner and treating you well and you gonna crank on him?

The problems with TWill's game are obvious. He needs/wants the ball in his hands to be successful. He's just not good at playing without the basketball because he can't shoot well on the spot-up and he doesn't seem to understand moving without the basketball in order to finish his teammates passes at the rim in halfcourt.

With the very spotty minutes he's been getting, you have to expect high turnovers and lower than low shooting percentages. And he's not a natural shooter anyways although the 15-18 footer should be money in the bank for him with his athleticism. He needs game repition. And that hasn't been available here.

The next issue is how he has handled it. He's gone public. And that's a PR issue. His agent has probably jumped his tail more than once about the negative effects on his earnings by going public and saying things off the cuff that he has to later come back and explain away.

I, for one, would be interested in meeting TWill one-on-one and talking to him like Clutch has, but only if he was interested enough to talk. And no buying dinner would be needed. I like talking basketball and I know something about the game. But in his eyes, without knowing me ahead of time, he's never going to do something like that. I'd tell him to his face just what I've said here.

But it's really irrelevant at this point. The organization has sent him the signal that he is not wanted here and they are going to move on without him, whether that be by trading him or by letting him go in free agency. Unless the organization changes their stance and sends him a different message, nothing is going to change. TWill knows this. He's going to take his time in free agency and look for a situation where he can play full time. I imagine he'll go back east, perhaps Charlotte, maybe Detroit, or maybe a WC lottery team, and get on a team where he'll start and play major minutes. I would imagine he's going to negotiate a contract based on a team committing to start him and hand him the basketball so he can develop his game on court. And his stats will go up significantly, he'll be on highlight reels on ESPN and some of us here will be going....Morey sux bad, look at TWill now.

I would have preferred for McHale to make TWill the backup PG and let him run the 2nd unit for extended minutes. This is based on the fact that this is a lottery team. Even playing at their best, we're not going to the playoffs. We're just not good enough. So, with that view, my opinion was why not give TWill significant run handling at the top with the 2nd unit and see what he develops into? What is there to lose? A few more losses? That actually helps our future. And what if he turned into a juggernaut? That wouldn't be a bad thing either.

In my opinion, there was ZERO RISK of playing TWill this season and seeing what he could become. If he plays bad, it helps the future of the franchise. If he plays great, it most definitely helps our future. But, alas, Les is not a future owner. He is the owner now and as such he wants to win now. And that is the main thing that is weighing on this franchise and unfortunately has mowed over TWill in the process.

TWill may never turn out to be anything. I've been disappointed by what I've seen of him and how he has responded to what has happened to him. Contrast him with Budinger. Budinger has been jerked around. He says nothing. Just goes back to work. Not out in the media blasting away. TWill would have been much better off to handle it this way and to bust his a.. in practice so hard that he forced McHale to play him or the team to trade or release him because he was such a nuisance to practice against because he was going full bore all the time. But, alas, that didn't happen either until recently it seems.

The thing that I wonder about the most with this team is how the communication between Morey and Les goes. Morey has to know this is not a playoff team. How is he passing that along to Les? If there is one thing that I feel Morey has failed to do, it is to sell/convince Les about the best way to build a championship contender when you are in our team's position. Obviously he tried to make the big trade for Gasol and he got crapped on. I understand that move totally. Obviously he's currently trying to make a big trade now. This is all at Les' wishes to remain competitive, to fight to make the playoffs and to pull off trades that make us better, rather than accepting reality, developing youngsters and trading away aging players for max value when the opportunity presents itself in order to draft or finally trade for true league superstars. Hopefully it will work. But in the meantime, we are going to be trading and letting go of some good players. That's just the reality of the NBA folks. And the reality of being a fan of the Houston Rockets.

Will he fly me in from Vegasfor dinner?

    Two basic thoughts....

    1) Obviously dude needs to get a little thicker skin if he aspires to earn his living in the public eye...

    2) People on this board do get overboard with the insults in a nonproductive way... As I've said before, people here want a superstar... and based on how this board treats its players - I wouldnt want to play for this team or city...

What he needs to realize is that the obese and nerdy comprise a very large chunk of sports fans. The same fans that blow all their money so these athletes can make tons of it.

If sports were only for the "cool" and in shape people, then athletes would be paid much, much less.

I can definitely see this happening...too many people on here for someone not to take him up on his offer.

However, the people who just say "he sucks" are probably fair weather fans. Don't expect those people to show because they don't care enough for Rockets basketball to show. The size of one's balls, or lack thereof, isn't the issue. It's dinner, not the octagon. The fans that show will do so because they care and see this as a cool opportunity. They understand he's got talent and great potential, but mentally he's not buying into it. Personally, i see a premeditated style of play out there. He just needs to play the game that's unfolding that very moment. He usually does better when he doesn't have time to think and just plays.

So although it sounds like an invitation to a duel, it'll turnout to be a friendly chit chat. After all, these are still his team's fans. It's not Karl Malone issuing the challenge.
