It might be if they let Battier/Jeffries expire and try to sign Landry.

What I like about Terrence Williams is he's a good defender and more importantly, aggressive. We need more aggressive players, we have a whole lot of unselfish players. And he's not wildly aggressively like Lowry or Brooks, who get out of control some times. He's a very collected when he's attacking.

Unfortunately, his shooting percentages look pretty bad.

This. It is amazing how the standards have fallen in Clutch city, or it is the folks in the garm whose main turn on is to dream of trades no matter how insignificant. To them trades are the height of ecstasy.

He is only 6'6", can't shoot, low rebound stats., etc. I don't understand the excitement. How is this an upgrade of any kind?

Seems to me like a low-risk move with likely low return, but potentially high return. That is, assuming we give up nothing of value besides the lottery-protected pick.

Williams seems like as good a player one can hope for at that draft position, except we're giving up very future asset(2012) for today. So taking that into account, there's not much to be mad about the deal. That said, like with the Ariza signing, how good it end up being depends totally on how much Williams develop.

Morey obviously feels that player development plays a large part in their ability to play. Hence rolling the dice on the likes of Hill and Williams. He's banking on eventually one of these players actually living up to his potential. And while it has low odds of success, it seems like the best he can do given how the cards are dealt.

Probably. But the rockets werent ever going to give him serious playing time anyway. Best to just shrug and let it go.

I think jt and twill's playing styles are somewhat similar so i guess we're just getting a version of jt that has proven that he can do some damage in this league

His defense and his passing will help out and he has attitude that the team needs. Sorta like Vernon without the shot.

I just got back into town... did we really just trade a future first plus Taylor for this cat? Why?

(I await the 44 page explanation from DaDakota. Don't let me down, DD!)

Hell naw now SBatt gotta play mentor to TWill? Sux that we traded JTay. Do u guys think he's get more minutes than CBud? He might just be another MHar. I wonder if TWill can play enough D to be on the court with ABro and LSco.

Actually I just really don't care for that kind of "nickname".

they have a glut of wings and a distinct lack of bigmen (pau is playing like crap from being overworked, bynum is coming back from injury and caracter has no talent), they need someone that they can throw in for 5-10mins a game to rest pau/bynum/odom.

He tosses up a lot of shots, just like Lee did on the Nets. On a team with established scorers, that should change (hopefully) for the better. It will be fun watching Ish, Lee, Williams, Hill, and Miller run together.
