Blake Griffin has a 35 inch vert, Andre Iguodala 34 inch.
Brandon Roy a 40 inch vert, Shane Battier a 33 inch..

Max vert is good, but its still in how you use it.

Trevor Ariza uses his 32 inch leap better than Battier's 33 inch.

Williams is actually a better complement to Brooks than Martin. Comparing Ariza to Williams is nuts, Ariza could not create (for himself or for others) to save his life.

I think he takes minutes from both Lee (at PG & SG) and Bud (SF), and soon.

For some reason I find that extremely hard to believe considering he seems to barely get off the floor when he jumps.

lol shane really has a 33 inch vert??

Did he used to be athletic on the Grizzlies or something??? And Brandon Roy must just be a really good "test taker": those ppl who kill in the predraft measures cuz he was never that explosive imho.

I see wat you mean about TWill, he can use his vert in games unlike those other draft combine heroes

and he is almost 6' 10" with shoes on WHAT A BEAST

we always talk about Shane Battier's value to the team being a mentor, well this is a great chance to see if we were right. Look forward to seeing this guy in a Rox jersey and I have hope that our franchise can guide him to positivity.

Had him on my fantasy team for the last quarter of the season last year. Was a complete stud. Seemed to put up a good number of turnovers though because he loves playing the point-forward role.

Why are you concerned? Our current starter is a SG with nothing but a jumpshot.

Honestly I dont get it either. It similar to 40 yard dash speed and real "football speed", sometimes it translates and sometimes it doesnt.

I remember A-3PO on this board saying in a thread its not uncommon for guys to all of a sudden get in the best shape of their life preparing for the combine. I think that pretty much explains it. Battier probably worked his ass off to maximize any little bit of leap he can get.

But there aint NUTHIN you can do about a Yao Ming sized vertical

I can't speak for others but he had a terrific final season with Louisville. He made top plays on sportscenter regularly with a number of sick dunks.

I think it is just a start of negotiation, the final result will be much more complicated.

Possibly, It seems only half of the trade floats out when Morey is involved.

Regardless, I can't imagine this is Morey's last move before 2011.

Terrence Williams is a baller. Take a look at his numbers from last year his rookie season. He tore it up during March and April averaging about 15pts. True, the Nets sucked last season, but he put up good numbers. You throw him in with the second unit and well be even more dangerous. Morey is building for the future.
