There no "shut down defense" for any position in the league anymore as the rules so heavily favor the offensive player. This is easy to see , especially if you have watched the game evolve since the early 70's.

Ibaka can't shut down a chair in the post. As mobile as he is he's still built out of tinker toys.

No doubt, he needs to bulk up a bit and hit that weight room.

He's 252lbs! Certainly isn't 'flabby', seems fairly muscled.

Big and strong enough, just needs to apply his size.

Bev's contract is too small and valuable for us. It'll be Terry packaged.

Time for me to eat a little crow. TJones is playing much better than I thought he was capable of at this point.

For a veteran pf/c who will not get abused by good front courts

    I hate inconsistency..

    Please Jones either

    1. SUck all he time

    or

    2. Be awesome all the time

being inconsistent is about the worst trait any person can have-

atleast if you always suck we will know what to expect

Star PFs get theirs... and your veteran won't hold his own against everyone either

Minimal impact just veteran experience - I do not think we will be getting a lot, not much improvement

Unless their names are LMA, Love who are unavailable and would cost half our team

He did not suck, he was inconsistent in preseason and preseason does not tell the entire story, well, it does not tell anything

He is still 22, realistically he could have just come out of college now and playing his first year. Imagine putting up that line in your first year, everyone would be saying untouchable and going on about how great he is.

His first real test will come against Miami. I imagine McHale will have TJones on Bosh unless Bosh decides to play most of the game in the paint.
