I don't know I was going to go with Lebron James.

    Maybe a lesser Dwight Howard.

Best part of the clip was when Clyde stopped commenting and Calvin Murphy was back on. Is he going to just do the halftime shows and post game shows? Man I really wish he could go back to commenting with Bill. Calvin's commenting helped me stay awake and enjoy the games back in the day.

Not possible, doesn't have his athleticism and McDyess was a monster! He is like a slimmer version of Rodney Rogers but should have a more succesfull career if he can develop a better post game, outside game already getting there. Both are good shot blockers, can handle the ball, can play SF to stretch out the floor and are under control.

agree he doesn't have mcdyess' early career athleticism. he does have better handles and better J than antonio did early on though. although terrence is not going to be a carbon copy of anyone, i was sort of pegging him at mcdyess' level as his upper limit. maybe brian grant (pre-injury) is a better comparison...

Grant did average 15.8 points and 9-ish boards for a year or two. I could see that for Jones. But Jones also has a decent handle, and an outside shot (that coaches might tell him to dial back sometimes).

I'll go with jayhow92 on this. Maybe a Lakers-era Odom. Complements your stars.

Now, all we need are stars.

Terrence Jones has clearly been the best out of the rookies so far, really like his ability to do the dirty work with the defense and rebounding. He's not particularly athletic, but his spin dunk was still pretty cool. Despite one of his weaknesses supposedly being his motor, he seems to give pretty effort mostly. His jumpshot form is a bit weird, especially his leg placement but at least it's not completely broken. Still think Pat should take the starting role, but liking what I'm seeing from Jones.

Rodney Rogers was like 20lbs lighter than Jones is, and Jones is cut.

If you just looked at his picture (Jones) you'd assume that here is the prototypical NBA power forward.
I'm a big fan, but I'm not convinced he'll be an all-star - will be a very solid NBA starter though, David West-ish?

Jones is better than people thought. Still should have been a lottery pick.

I can't wait to see Lamb and White go off too. There will be some point where each of the rookies will show potential this year. That's just flat out bad arse.

    Exactly what I think.

The only way I'll stop seeing him as a Carl Landry x2 is if he develops a post game. Not that Landry x2 is a bad thing (maybe borderline All-star), but it's still not-yet two dimensional, the dynamic kind of player that can develop into a superstar. A post game will get him over that hump.

T.Jones is actually pleasantly surprised me around the basket...just makes smart basketball plays...easily the most overlooked/ guy that has been Mr. Consistent night in and night out compared to all the rookies...provides something each game...I think right now he is playing like he will come of the bench first...

Starters I think are set: Asik, Lin, Chandler, Patterson, and Martin.
TJones, Montejunas, Douglas, Delfino and Lamb looks like the bench rotation.

I can see Royce and Machado playing a lot of D League this year...not because they wouldnt be able to crack the rotation, but because all the above guys are just playing much better on a consistent basis...
