I seriously don't understand their refusal to give him any minutes. I know I keep going back to the Nuggets game, but he was such a great offensive burst in that game for us. Then again, he hasn't exactly made the most of the opportunities they've given him since then. Not sure why he insists on jacking up 3s when he does his best work in the post.
The question should not be does he have the potential? The question should be do we really believe he can develop into an above average individual defensive player by next year? I doubt it. With that said, do we really want to take that risk given the short window of opportunity to win a chip? Do we pass up a potentially better deal by not throwing TJ into the mix? all about fit.... we were borderline contending team with injuries to 2nd tier superstar Yao and almost dead superstar McGrady. Artest came in and elevated us to the 2nd round. Artest goes to the Lakers, changed to MWP and got a title, stayed about 3 years. It's a double edged sword. Well talent upgrade is key but any team needs consistency and no knee jerking after one game. Terrence scored 10 pts, solid just did not rebound and could not stay with the best PF ( over KLove because he elevates his team to the best record) This game and loss was about to happen not because them Blazers have better talent but they have better chemistry and their confidence is through the roof. Blazers are in GOD Mode which is ok. We can reach that too. They are in playoff form way too early. They have to keep that up till the Playoffs. It is more suitable to peak at the end of February till March going into April. We'll see. No matter what personally if you want to trade Jones do it in one or two years. At least let him come off the bench when he stinks it up. Today was sloppy but not a horrible game.
@ wasting Howard's years Howard has to play like a superstar anyway. He is currently inconsistent and is one tier below the best of the best. Lebron played like one and still had problems against Indy and the Spurs. The whole team has to perform. I don't even think it was a bad game overall. We had some injuries and Blazers are elite competition right now and we did actually well, were close to winning at times.
Weird bump. But OP is known to have made ridiculous comparisons and doesn't really know how to judge NBa talent Something like 3 potentials >>> 1
This bump made Jones play better. He didn't get blocked on his first shot for the first time this season. He just missed a lay-up instead
coachbadlee made tons of these terrible comparisons back then. I thought he was trying to provide comic relief. I don't like the idea of ppl changing usernames, but I encourage him to so maybe he can get some credibility.
