Disastrous is a fitting word. And yes you are right he was a very dynamic revolutionary. It is always the charismatic revolutionaries that are fun to study. Particularly with there speeches and there quotes. I don't know if I would put him in the same breath as Gandhi and MLK considering that they did such positive things while Mao not so much. But I get where you are coming from.

One thing that people forget is that revolutions are, in general, battles for freedom and justice. It's worth a look whether the Chinese Revolution was a positive force because revolutions do not typically succeed without a) the support of the masses and b) for an overwhelmingly just cause. This is the case for China as it was for our own American Revolution.

If there is passing interest in Chinese politics and history, perhaps someone could start a different thread, because I hate to take away from the comedic value of Terrence Jones = less Dwight Howard thread ;)

Another thing that doesn't make sense(other than this thread:grin:)is the fact that many of you expect him to be better in the league as a SF rather than a center. He would not be able to defend SF in the league as well as he would a PF/C. The truth is, he would be a much better back-up to Asik than Smith, Harrellson or whatever other big man we have on the roster.

I think he'd be a little better than Smith, but I haven't seen enough of Harrellson's play to make that assessment. I'd rather have him on the court though considering his skill-set and versatility.

I like Harrellson's play. He is a hustler and moves around pretty well for someone his size. Like you said, though, Jones' skillset wins out.

    1. nutt hugger A speedo worn extra small so the butt crack is exposed and the nutts are hugged tightly, therefore the name; Nutt Huggers.
Nutt Huggers are normally found at swim meets, water polo tournaments, and intense practices.

as defined by Urban Dictionary, so id say neither 4 of us are.

I get what you are saying coach. Its not out there as much as some posters say it is. He can play center but his best position is likely PF. He can rebound from what people gather and block shots. I see what you are saying. He has multiple talents at multiple positions. Perhaps he can slide over from time to time and have it work out much like Kevin Garnett?

The OP didn't exactly say that Terrence Jones is the next Dwight Howard. If Terrence Jones can not be a lesser Dwight Howard he would probably have been a bad draft choice.

Good point. A lesser Dwight would not be out of the question. A good rebounder. Slightly worse shot blocker. Scores slightly less. Not out of the question.

Players enter the league raw. As their careers go, they better.
Terrence Jones who is 20 years old, 6'9 252 lbs will get bigger and stronger as his caree
    r progresses.

I agree with this assessment, I think T.Jones' best position is going to be PF but against smaller lineups, or if a team tries to go quick or something he could be a real asset (Daryl Morey word) to the team by playing Center. ONLY in certain lineups though.
