IROC, I agree with you. I think something did go "wrong" last night with T.O.; I don't think she was being truthful then about the "suicide attempt" nor do I think she's being being truthful now about there simply being an allergic reaction. I know allergic reactions can sometimes be quite severe, but IMO there's something else going on here. As with many of these "situations" the truth is usually somewhere between the two extremes (suicide attempt and simple allergic reaction). Hopefully at some point the truth will come out, but I certainly won't hold my breath for it.
Haven't seen the report, but will tonight...I agree that something happned, but to suggest suicide to throw people off the trail is really wrong, but whatever works...
This is really suspicious.... The police just made up hearing that he was depressed? They just made the whole suicide thing up? How do they go from allergic reaction to suicide? Someone in the TO camp must have suggested it to them... The whole pulling pills out of TOs mouth was totally fabricated by the police? When asked what supplements he was taking at the press conference, he didnt answer, said there were too many to list right now. His publicist 'forgets' alot of the details of last night because it has been a long day... suicide seems unlikely, but i dont think we are getting the truth right now
And that many posters acted like douche bags without knowing if a guy tried or wanted to kill himself. So what I gather had he really killed himself you would have compassionate. OK then, you didn't believe the story, I don't know how you could have so sure, but I'll leave it at that. I wouldn't want to wish on a major douchbag or major league a-hole to really wanting to kill himself, let alone succeeding. Murderer/rapist/child molester, I certainly would not shed a tear, but outside of that.... Personally, I don't think this is of Owen's making, off the field stuff-- particularly that makes him look bad or weak, has never been his way. Looks like a sloppy police report and a media frenzy, not orchistrated IMO.
I think it is really sad that people are now disappointed that TO didn't eithe try to kill himself or succeed. These are the people sitting in a cubicle, hating their job, while hoping for the worst when it comes to others. TO is a douche but he's still a human being. How many of you who hate him grew up without a father? You don't know what all this man has been through in his life. Its easy to sit here and talk bad about someone when you are sitting behind your computer in a cubicle and were blessed to have a nuclear family with a good childhood.
Noone jumped on people who think TO is a dumbass. Heck I think he is a dumbass from what I know about him from the media and his act. The contention had to do with the callousness, self-rightousness, and lack of compassion expressed here for a man with a police report that said he tried to kill himself.
Naw, it wouldn't have mattered to me one way or another if he'd actually tried to commit suicide. I never believed that story because T.O. is the ultimate narcissist. He simply loves himself far too much to try and kill himself in such a clumsy way (by taking 35 painkillers). To see him up there smirking and smiling disgusted me to no end. But he had good reason to smile because once again all eyes were on him which, in the end, is exactly what he wants. You sound like a really good person and a responsible guy and I applaud you for that. But some people are simply beyond my ability to feel compassion and T.O., while not at the top of the list, is high up there. Compassion is wasted on people like him and I, for one, won't be a part of the legions lined up to kiss his ass. He's proven time and time again exactly what type of person he is and that he only cares for himself, period. I have never heard him say that he's done anything wrong - it's always someone else's fault (like the media for truthfully reporting his antics). My grandfather taught me that the true measure of a man is the ability to stand up and take responsibility for his actions both right and wrong and T.O. will never do that because he doesn't have what it takes inside to be a real man only a big grinning joke. Also, don't pay attention to Deon's spin job blaming the Dallas police. That report is sworn testimony by a police officer. If the DPD did indeed "lie" or "make up" parts of that report then, as the DPD stated yesterday, T.O., his "publicist" - anyone - can contact the Internal Affairs Division and start an investigation. Don't know about you but I won't be sitting around holding my breath waiting for that to happen...
I think everyone here has been through worse times than this... _____ Trainer cites physical, emotional setbacks Terrell Owens' longtime personal trainer said Wednesday that "a perfect storm" of physically and emotionally devastating events conspired to put the superstar receiver into a tailspin that resulted in a trip to the emergency room Tuesday. Those events also generated what the trainer called "erroneous" reports of a suicide attempt. "A lot of things were coming to a head anyway, and then this happened," said James "Buddy" Primm, 55, who until earlier this month, had been living with Owens in his loft on Commerce Street, in the shadow of Fair Park. Primm said Owens underwent two traumatic events Monday involving his 7-year-old son and his fiancée, a woman he has dated for three years. Owens' son, from a previous relationship, celebrated his birthday Monday, Primm said. Owens was distraught, he said, about not being able to be see the boy, who lives in California. "He wanted to get together with the boy," Primm said. "But the boy could not come here, and Terrell could not go there." Then hours later, a woman whom Primm described as Owens' fiancée broke off the relationship. Primm declined to give the woman's last name but said she and Owens had been dating for three years. She also lives in California. "That's been coming on forever," Primm said of the breakup. "She's not a bad girl. She's cool, she's fine. He said, 'Can I take a break from the enagement?' And she said, 'No, let's just put a stop to it.' And that was a complete surprise to Terrell." full article
I'm also guessing that people have gone through times like this and have had similar reactions. They just didn't have the cameras on them.
