Exactly! They will not even trade AK for Stevie straight up.

Right. Ak47 is just too good for UTah to give him up. If they have done it this summer where his trade value is a little lower, they might do it...but not now.

I would do that deal in a heartbeat but I think Utah would laugh at us if we offered Francis for AK47.

Utah recieves a marquee player. The starting point guard in the all-star game for the next 10 years. Utah has had a problem picking up star players via free agency because - - it's Utah. This deal is a win win. We can now give them Weatherspoon instead of Moochie for cap purposes.

No you can't. Weatherspoon can only be traded by himself for the next 2 months. He can't be involved in a multi-player trade.

I stand corrected on that point. This deal would still be a win-win.

    OH...YOU stand corrected by GATOR...

Because Weatherspoon was the only player the Rockets received, he is eligible to be traded immediately[u/]. Although highly unlikely, Weatherspoon could be combined with the TE for any player up $12.4m. The most likely possibility IMO is combining Spoon with a current Rocket for a mid-tier player ($7m-$8m) and a bad contract.

If for some weird reason Spoon decides to retire, his contract would be like gold to a team seeking cap relief (like the Hawks taking Tyrell Brandon's $11m in the Sprewell trade).

If Spoon sticks out the season, he'll be left unprotected in the Charlotte expansion draft. Spoon and the TE during the expansion draft has some intriguing possibilites.

This trade would ruin both teams and both players career. There is a reason there not to many black nba player tryna get in Utah. Boring ass city. AK47 in Houston this guy ain't use to a huge city like Houston.

Correct. Weatherspoon can be packaged by himself or with the trade trade exception and/or picks immediately. Otherwise, it's the end of the season.

IOW, by himself (with TE and/or a pick) = immediately.

If he's not traded, he'll be left unprotected in the expansion draft.
Unless management views him as more valuable than Boki!

AK is playing insane this year. his all-around game is one of the best in the nba. In Yahoo fantasy hoops, I think only Duncan and Garnett are ahead of him right now in terms of stats.

No way Utah trades their best white player away. Besides AK47 is better than SF so why would they do it?
