I can confidently proclaim that her speech was the WORST speech ever given in the history of mankind. Her voice is so painful to listen to. Her pace is incredibly slow. Her message is so incredibly self-aggrandizing. If this tells you anything, I was seriously ready for Terry McAwful to grab the microphone and start in on his Bush-hate speech. Anything would have been better than tuhRAYsuh droning on and on about her billionaire hardships.
seriously...this forum officially sucks now. but that's the tone of politics in america today, more than ever. our guys are smart and always right...your guys are imbeciles and always wrong. keep up the great work.
Funny, I was thinking the same thing. At least when I watched it with my brother in law who is a Bush man he said that his impression of her was that she was worldly (speaks five languages) and obviously cared a lot about her fellow human beings to be given a philanthropic award named after Albert Schwitzer. He even said she would be a better host to foreign visitors tot he White House than librarian Laura. The Neos on here won't bother to look up from Ed Gillespie's talking points.
Umm... you may have missed this from the Economic Misery Tour that Forbes Kerry embarked upon, but Forbes Kerry apparently once ran a cookie-baking business in Faneuil Square in Boston. Hey, it's not his NASA spermazoa suit, but it's a close second. Vote for me! I bake cookies!
If my pops was head of the CIA I think I could get in too bush a C Student got in . . . taking a spot from a hard working A Student just because who his daddy was oh the irony Rocket River
whag.. I think they said she is belived to be the only potential first lady to ever get a prime time speaking spot. (but the station I was listening to did'nt seem to be totally sure of that ) at a convention.. of those running for first time. it's more common for current first ladies who are already in office to speak at conventions..
I liked her speech. She's obviously a very intelligent person with some great ideas of her own. I'd rather have two strong minds in the White House than none.
But wait, I thought Pretty Face Edwards said that there are TWO AMERICAS. I guess Pretty Face is a 'spin masters' and 'negative ad peddler'. Obama's Quote: "Now even as we speak, there are those who are preparing to divide us, the spin masters and negative ad peddlers who embrace the politics of anything goes," Obama said. "Well, I say to them tonight, there is not a liberal America and a conservative America -- there is the United States of America. "There is not a black America and white America and Latino America and Asian America -- there is the United States of America," Obama said. "We are one people, all of us pledging allegiance to the stars and stripes, all of us defending the United States of America."
From a purely theatrical standpoint, the speech was lacking, especially compared to Obama's. Still, given her abilities, it was probably about as good a speech as she could give. I thought there were some good lines and ideas, but I don't think it should have been the featured speech of the night.
You really are a bitter, little man aren't ya? Edwards was making the case that it's the repubs that are dividing America. But you knew that.
I have decided that all of my future posts Will be in Haiku When in D&D But not when in the hangout Or anywhere else If you can't say it in the five, seven, five form It should not be said.
