I can easily see how he's not on the Rockets as a whole. That's a reasonable decison made by JVG. I am truly puzzled that he wasn't put on the Summer League Roster. There would seem to be no downside to his attendance. Particularly because he's said he would have joined them. Maybe they wanted to give Nachbar more minutes in the games, and having Morris probably would have necessitated sharing Minutes between the two. Either way, I hope he sticks on with another team. He's a good guy on and off the court.

When looking at youn players, you want to see they get better in the offseason which is what Morris did last yr. He was blazing up the summer league and even though he had an injury, he stayed sharp and produced whenever he was called upon. His progress shooting the ball from his 1st yr to last yr was nothing short of amazing. Once he got into a good groove being the 1st 3 off the bench, he had some really good games, but typical Rudy when Rice came back, he started getting dnpcd's. Progress is what everone was looking for and thats what he was doing. Morris does have alot of talent whether people want to believe it or not. He's a prototype body wise as a 3 man and he has all the tools, his biggest knock has always been desire for the game. I can't see how Maddox is on the spl and Morris is not.

Take a look at Stephen Jackson before last year and you will see that Tmo is a Stephen Jackson waiting to happen. At this point he can make the Spurs or the Mavs roster, who the hell do we think we are putting such talent out there?

It looks like both TMO and Collier will play for the Spurs summer league team. Its being reported by the San Antonio Express. TMO would be a good fit for them.

I refuse to pass judgment on the decision to release (i.e. not pick up the option on) TRock until I see the other moves made.
If (1) there is not a trade that shakes up the roster thus clearly relegating TMo to the end of the bench, and (2) if we miss out on signing veteran free agents, then I too will not see any sense in just letting him walk. If it's just selfless of the Rockets to give him a shot somewhere else, forget that noise, my ticket prices suggest they have the best roster 1-12 that their (and to a MUCH MUCH MUCH smaller extent MY) money can buy.

yea...just like the damon jones situation a couple years back. they let him go because he was going to get more playing time somewhere else.
