Actually, I'm intrigued. This is a 29 year old 6'9" experienced player with good athleticism and it looks like he has really developed his offensive game. 49% from 3 over there I would think would equate to 38-40% in the NBA, especially if he gets some wide open looks off 111. I don't remember him really being able to shoot it from distance. In my opinion, we should try to bring several of these type players in to our summer league team and let them bang against each other. I'd go after Morris, Qyntel Woods (if he is available), Kaniel Dickens, Darius Rice, and any other 6'6" to 6'9" small forward/shooting guard type and see if they actually got game. The way I see it, is if we could actually get one of these guys and be able to sign them cheap, it just gives us more room to make multiple player deals. We are in all likelihood looking to move multiple players for a key piece, say BJax, Luther, and possibly Woods and Francis for maybe a player or two. We need somebody to fill out the roster. We oughta see what these guys got. I am intrigued by any player of this size that can shoot like this. Bring him over and see what he's got. What have we got to lose by checking him out?
I imagine with numbers like that Terrence will be making alot more money in the Euro league then the cup of coffee he might make in the NBA next year.
I heard Pete Chilcutt, Zan Tabak and Matt Maloney are destroying the Iraqi leagues right now. Lets sign all of them!!! Holy Moly!!!!
I am intrigued also. I recognized him last summer at Fonde and he looked like he could play ALOT better than what I remembered. And that was with NBA starting talent sprinkled through those Fonde rosters, he held his own and made me wonder why he didn't find a spot somewhere. He looked to be in fantastic shape and much stronger than when he was a rocket.
go to nba.com and follow the trail to the euroleague championshp stats. Eliyahu sucked as in 2 to's and absolutely nothing else. Can anyone say Badiane? But then Terence did alright!! Scored, rebounded, starter minutes, and remember they only play 40 mpg. Worth a look if we can sign him - not sure of that at all - but if he could I am sur TM would wanna play in Houston.
I have always liked Terrence Morris, he reminds me alittle of Robert Horry without the big shot capability. He a very good defender, rebounder, stand still shooter with range and shotblocker with length. Something that the rockets 6'5 PF/SF (Mike Harris and Chucky Hayes) midgets have a hard time bringing. This team needs size, length and athletism in the frontcourt badly, they were exposed bigtime when Yao went down. The rockets don't need another all-star.
