the hard court will generally be alot hotter then the air temperature as its absorbing the heat all day and they mention the 140 degrees with reference to the court.

Good call - I wonder what the air temperatures were.

Yup...I really thought he was going to pull thru after saving two match points. Hell of a match, unbelievable shot making by both players. So unfortunate for Verdasco to lose by a double fault.

wow saw the last two sets and even though I was rooting for Andy can you ask for anything better than 1 vs 2 when 2 is trying to tie the all time record for slams won

that nadal semifinals was so fun to watch. I cant believe the number of times i jsut had my mouth open in awe of the two players. 5+ hours of tennis!! It wasn't all high quality but they were all damn exciting games. I'm looking forward to the finals.

Just judging by how the players played, i'm guessing Federer wins in 4 sets.

I like Novak, and can't stand Andy. Novak's funny, and has worked hard to improve his game.

I like Novak less after he withdrew to Andy. It's all the more humiliating for him because during the U.S. Open Andy started talking trash about Novak, and Novak creamed him, and then talked smack back to Andy.

So now that he withdrew against him, it's just ridiculous.

Novak is an underachiever (just like Andy) I saw him at the open and he lacks killer instinct

Roddick seems like he always has a giant stick up his ass or something. He's so angry towards everyone from himself to the ref and even the ball/towel boys. Plus he regularly drops f bombs on the court. He acts like he had no respect for Novak at all that whole game. I'm so glad he got his butt handed to him by federer.

I disagree, he is a poor man's Mac. Dude acts like that imo b/c that is his way of motivating himself.

He does something right because he is a big fan fav outside of the US too.

Would I like him as much as Pete, Aggasi, Courior, Conners, Mac if he won? No but I still pull for the guy

I don't think he lacks the killer instinct. Or didn't used to lack it. He may have lost it, because he has been worse lately.

Last year he beat NAdal, Federer, and won a great match against Tsonga to win Australian. Some of those wins were in the tournaments leading up to the major, but it still shows amazing will.

Andy seems like frat boy - date rapist type of person. His little stare downs after points where hits nice winners are annoying and ridiculous. Then his annoying trash talk about Djokovic at the U.S. open was horrible. He had no idea what the situation was with Djokovic, and then to spout off that crap in the press was ridiculous. Then of course, there was the dumb-ass Andy's Mojo campaign. He has much penance to pay for that one.

All in all Andy is my most hated pro-tennis player and is a symbol of everything that is wrong with the "new Austin"

Andy was half joking with Djokovic at the US Open. It was Novak who took it wrong. Novak knows he has a reputation for injury timeouts. it's okay for Novak to poke fun at others but when it comes back to him it's not okay?

I like Andy better than Novak but dont' get me wrong. I know Novak is a better player. he'd beat Andy 8 times out of 10 in my opinion but on this occassion with the conditions Andy was the better player in the late stages of the tournament.

I like Andy's smart comments. Gives me something to watch other than just Tennis. I think it's entertaining because it doesn't affect me directly.

I know you are talking about tantrum throwing, but that's still a blasphemy to mention Mac and Roddick in the same sentence. Roddick's slam trophies and head-to-head record vs Federer wouldn't be nearly as miserable if Roddick had one quarter of Mac's flair at the net.

i watched the nadal, verdasco semi and it was awesome! i started in the 3rd set and it had my attention the rest of the way. it was heartbreaking that someone had to lose.

federer always beats nadal so we'll see. federer is so good, he makes tennis look easy.

If Andy had been joking with Novak that would have been one thing. But he was talking about it in a press conference. It was humor meant to be derisive.

Novak does have a reputation for injury timeouts, and has had a collapsed lung that he had to strengthen and get over. That's where the reputation started. This last withdraw made Novak just look like a whimp, and I like him less than I did before.

But it's OK for Novak to do his impressions, because they aren't meant to be derisive. They mock mannerisms or quirks. They don't imply someone is faking injury. There is a difference. If someone did an impression of Novak bouncing the ball 300 times before serving, that would be fine.

It's OK for anyone to like Andy and have a different opinion of him than I do, but his jokes about Djokovic and Djokovic impression of other players are two different things.

I can't stand Djokovic either. But I do think he has the talent to be great, its just a question if he can ever put it together mentally.
