I just heard on PTI that the Tennessee Titans are considering wearing the Oilers gear as their alternate/throwback uniforms next year. I know this thread might end up in the D&D, but...
    What do y'all think?

I'm kind of torn, actually. As a life-long Houston Oilers fan, I still feel the pain of the move. However, I'm also dying to see those jerseys and that helmet again.

Also, I think the league should FORCE them to play the Jets on a throwback game. That way it would be the Oilers vs. New York Titans.

    Discuss.

Even Bud Adams can't ruin my love for the Oilers.

That absolutely KILLS me. I can't stand that they straight up STOLE our history from us, and claim it as their own. The ups and downs that we went through as Oilers fans are no one else's but OURS, and the fact that there are still people in this city who hold LOYALTIES to that c**ksucker Bud Adams. How can you still root for a team that is owned by the man that betrayed our love?? And the fact that now, they are going to don the jerseys of that team as if they understand what it meant to be the Houston Oilers disgusts me to no end. I PRAY that they play the Texans in those jerseys, and if there is a God, he will allow the Texans to destroy them just as they destroyed our history.

GREAT POINT! Yet another example of how Bud Adams has given the finger to the city that showed him nothing but love, until he became a greedy, dispicable human being. Everyone talks about how Art Modell robbed Cleveland of the Browns, but at least they got to keep their name! Everything about the new franchise is a model of the old one.....I honestly believe more people would have embraced the Texans right from the start had they been the Oilers.

I hope the Titans win a Super Bowl the day after Bud Adams dies.

    He sucks.

The disconnect is baffling. The fan base is entirely different now and not a product of generations. Few people in Nashville ever gave a rat's ass about the Oilers before they moved there.

I'm glad they took our history. If you combine the Oilers + what the Texans have done its pretty depressing.

Does no one blame the jackass mayor of Houston or the owner of the Astrodome, Uncah Dreighton?

I wonder if we can claim our history back after Bud Adams "ceases" to own the Titans.

    The county owned the Astrodome.

And we've all had this discussion umpteen thousand times.

Or....What if they wear the Oiler throwbacks at their annual visit to Reliant and VY is starting.

I'm not sure how the Reliant crowd would act or even whom they would root for.

This city is cursed when it comes to football.

Bud Adams would wear em against us. That would be painfully hysterical.
