Tenn. Teacher Accused of Sleeping With 13-Year-Old Student

Anyone wonder why a 13-year old boy is still in elementary?

 

I was until I read the article.

 

Obviously, because the teachers are younger, hotter, and put out more in elementary school.

CLEARWATER - A 23-year-old woman's anguished admission that she stripped off her clothes to satisfy a 4-year-old's curiosity, but did so without erotic intent, apparently persuaded jurors not to find her guilty of a sex crime punishable by up to 30 years in prison.
Instead, a four-man, two- woman panel found Sarah Slicker guilty of lewd and lascivious exhibition in front of a child, a less serious crime that could spare the St. Petersburg woman a prison term.

Slicker will be spending time behind bars, however.

Circuit Judge Brandt Downey ordered her jailed pending a Feb. 25 sentencing hearing at which he will decide whether Slicker's crime qualifies for a mandatory 30-month prison term.

If it does not, the judge is free to chose anything from time served up to 15 years.

Testifying in her own defense, Slicker told jurors that the stress of working as a nanny for 60 or more hours a week, caring for children from three different families, caused a lapse in judgment that led her to disrobe at the request of a 4-year-old boy.

``I was exhausted, mentally and physically,'' Slicker said, appearing to stifle a sob.

``I'm not trying to excuse what happened,'' she said. ``I know I shouldn't have been naked on the couch. I'm not disputing that ... I knew afterward it was a terrible thing to have done.''

The pair had been watching a James Bond movie that Slicker said the boy's father had approved of but that she found inappropriate, she told the jury. She said she disrobed at the boy's command.

``Everything was a struggle with him,'' she said. ``I didn't say anything. I just did it.''

The incident ended when the boy's mother came home unexpectedly and saw her son on the couch with his nude babysitter.

Slicker drove to the St. Petersburg police station to report the incident several hours after the mother kicked her out of their Snell Isle home, according to testimony.

Assistant State Attorney Stephanie Bergen urged jurors Wednesday not to credit Slicker for turning herself in.

``She would not have taken herself to the St. Pete Police Department if she hadn't been caught. It would have been her secret,'' Bergen said.

Defense attorney Debra Moss asked jurors to remember the testimony of the boy's father, who said his son can be demanding and ``pushes your buttons.''

Afterward, the boy's parents, who met Slicker through their church, said it is important to not only screen babysitters but also continually check up on them.

``She did a bad thing, but our biggest concern is that she doesn't do it again,'' the mother said, noting that Slicker is now a registered sex offender.

``I'm just glad we caught it,'' the father said. ``She was only with us for three months.''

Their son, the couple said, has had counseling and is doing fine.

He was stating statistics that upwards of 10% of teachers have relations with a student during their career or something like that.

I guess I CAN see how an older high school kid could hook up with a teacher fresh out of college...but 12-14 year olds?

Its a violation of trust. If you can't trust your kids' teachers to not try to sex them up, who can you trust.

Ok. Fess up all of you, how many of you guys had crush on your high school or junior high female teachers at one time?

 

Oh hell yeah. The two hottest at my school were our chaperones for our D.C. trip where one of them saw me in my tightie whities to wake me up when there was a fire in our hotel.

One of them also spent a day with her legs crossed in a peculiar way where I could see all the way up her skirt. That image was burned into my brain for years.

 

McMinnville is like 30 minutes from where I live and Warren County is one of the counties that borders Coffee County (my home county, duh) as well as Rutherford County (Murfreesboro).

One of my buddies was telling me about this yesterday and even said that this babe's husband, Chris Turner, played in our local men's city basketball league!!
