I disagree. He's not realistic and for me I like when characters have the possibility of being real. As far as gripping i disagree with that too. True Detective season 1 had me on the edge in so many places.
I think Felina is slightly better, but both are top 5 worthy for sure. Rounding out my top 5 would likely be: Mr. Robot eps3.5_kill-pr0cess.inc, Game of Thrones Battle of the Bastards, and The Leftovers International Assassin. Honorable mentions: True Detective (Season 1) "Who Goes There," and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia "Charlie Work" and "Chardee MacDennis: The Game of Games."
Can't recommend this show enough -- I rarely buy a television series but this one is worth every penny.
I'm a MASH nerd...still watching it anytime it's on (WGN, Sundance, and a couple others show it fairly routinely). I've probably been through every episode in what's probably approaching triple digits. There was an episode in the early seasons where they had a character that was singing the song.
I would have said "Shut up and Dance" or "San Junipero" for Black Mirror. Good episodes with memorable endings.
Can't say about the MASH TV series since I didn't see and don't remember every episode, but I do remember the scene you're talking about in Robert Altman's MASH movie from 1970 which is pretty famous.
Ooh, I think there are far better episodes. I'd put "Diversity Day," "The Injury," "Safety Training," "Benihana Christmas," "Goodbye Toby," "The Gay Witch Hunt," and "The Convict" above it. I think "The Dinner Party" is probably the best episode of all. It has the proper level of hilarious and cringe.
There are many excellent episodes. Casino Night is tops for me. The humor may not be the highest for "The Office" but it is there. Michael trying to date two women at once was classic. But honestly, after recently re-watching the whole series, the drama part is what really gets me here. The whole first 2 seasons they did a brilliant job of building the Jim/Pam tension and I thought they nailed the payoff. And the cliffhanger to end the season. Checked all the boxes for me. "The Dinner Party" is certainly right near the top of the list . "That One Night" and the way Jan dances...Priceless. As far as humor and Cringe factor I think my favorite episode is "Scott's Tots," a late in the series gem. This scene is the hardest I ever laughed at "The Office":
I don't really care for any of the romantic stuff with Pam and Jim. Both of their characters were way more entertaining when not around one another. Pam and her arc with Dwight, and Jim with her general antics with Andy, Dwight and Michael was almost always better than stuff between Jim and Pam. With the exception of team pranks on Dwight, like the vending machine, or Asian Jim. The whole art school, sound guy, thing with Pam just turned me off to her character.
That was a great episode but I think "The Job" was a pretty important episode. Jim finally asks Pam out, Ryan becomes Michael's boss, Dwight is manager for a day (Schrute Bucks vs. Stanley Nickels, Pam becomes secret Assistant to the Regional Manager).
I was never a fan of the romantic lines, outside of Jim/Pam in seasons 1 and 2, which to me was all time classic stuff. Also, see my edited previous post for more details about my favorites.
I was going to say the same thing as the other poster. It is probably the best single season of TV in my opinion. I'm not sure why someone would not enjoy that.
Ya know.... I don't have any issues with someone making a top 100 list... but, really, they shouldn't call it the top too episodes OF THE CENTURY. No I love Lucy No All In The Family No X-Files No Seinfeld No Dallas No Simpsons = No credibility to the list. It looks like a list that was assembled by a few young people who never knew what it was like to watch Lucy trying to wrap all those chocolates. Never knew the buzz in the country about who shot JR. Never knew what it was like to see the mall filled with Bart Simpson merchandise.
