Like just about everyone except CBS and Chuck Lorre, they've been pretty good about Itunes downloads and Amazon streaming; which is next day airing for between $2 - $3 per episode if you're willing to pay. Beyond that, though, a good number of shows are streamed off their network's website for a week or two; you just have to sit through all of their commercials.
Those of you who find it boring -- keep watching, at least through season 2. I found season 1 generally boring as well, but by the middle of 2, I was hooked. It's not a fast paced show, so it may not be for everyone. I'd say if you're not hooked by the end of season 2, you can probably stop.
Bought some Top Top Shelf gin yesterday--Hendricks--for this premiere, very smooth and yummy. The game is, you have to drink and smoke as much as Don does while watching the show. And no mixers. Bonus points for smoking Lucky Strikes..but not required since Don's research shows that advertising fails to get people to switch brands. Welcome to the club. I highly recommend not reading this thread again, until you are caught up. I'm sure after tonight there will be many spoilers.
i'm of the belief that if you force yourself through 2 seasons of any show, you will be hooked. i watch the show, and i think it's decent. but it's perhaps the most over-hyped show of all time. and, no, the pace does not really pick up. if you don't watch already, i wouldn't strongly recommend doing so. you aren't missing a whole lot.
I really don't like the direction they're taking Harry's character. He started out as one of the only genuinely honorable characters in the lot. Not sure if they're intending to show the effects of his interactions with Hollywood, but he turned unlikable very quickly.
when my girl friends are mad at me, why don't they wear sexy lingerie and clean the house, to get their way.
white big city america drama in the 60's = apathy; I'm just waiting for Hendrick's character to get gangbanged by the office guys
