This episode was amazing. Betty Draper is back!!! Bill Simmons summed it up. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Would you rank Betty Draper's comeback performance above or below MJ's 55 at MSG?</p>— Bill Simmons (@BillSimmons) <a href="https://twitter.com/BillSimmons/status/338881985034461185">May 27, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
I didn't understand his tweet because IMO Betty has been back all season. She's been looking exquisite imo and every time she's received screen time I think she's been as cutting yet lovely as ever.
I can't get "Father Abraham" out of my head and Bob Benson's shorts tho! I'm scouring the internetz to buy one for myself.
The Father Abraham and both Abe scenes were the only weak parts of a great episode. I understand setting the table for later moments, but they seemed noticeably subpar to me.
We already do. Haven't you noticed that I post in every single thread he creates? He and I summer in the Hamptons and winter in St. Tropez with a bevy of the finest European ladies(because, lest you forget, Europe has the hottest women) Gotta disagree. That's being said imo because it was the first time all season they had her in shorts. She's been in coats, dresses, nightie, etc but not in shorts like that. I think she's looked great all season but that's just me I'm sure.
Pretty sure there hasn't been neck fat this season. Feel free to review the earlier episodes from this season and let me know if I'm wrong. To me there was a noticeable difference in weight for her(from the little we could see) from the start of this season
Bobmarley is right this is the first time Betty has been thin all season. She re-dyed her hair blonde earlier in the season and started the path to thin Betty but fat chin want gone until last night.
What is Bob "Bunsen" up to? Didn't he say that is dad had died and that's why he he sent the food to Sterling's mom's funeral? Now he tells Pete that his dad was nursed back to health?
Dude is a chameleon. I really like his character and think he will grow in power over the this season and next.
Just watched the latest episode and must concur with the others in that it was fantastic. That scene where Draper walks into the restaurant and greets betty and her husband then walks and sits at the table alone was epic. The demise of the great Don Draper........
When Don got back to town and was talking to his wife on the balcony I kept getting this feeling that he would throw her off of it. I don't know why. Anyone else ever get that from Don?
Great episode...Loved the... Spoiler Betty Draper sighting, the Peggy-Don-Ted Twist, and love how that soap star lady still keeps trying to close the deal with Megan...and was secretly hoping for some lezzie action with her...lol...
The TV guide description to this episode was "Joan marks the unofficial start of summer with a trip to the beach"
