Generally, I don't support big brother government databases that intrusively quantify everything everybody does, but there should be a FBI database of everybody that tattoos their face. Get a facial tattoo, register with Homeland Security. I don't have any data to back this up, but I'd bet that the rate of violent crime among people with facial tattoos is pretty damn high.
Plus the fact that they ignore poverty rates amongst blacks vs. whites and try to paint the cause as race vs. socioeconomic status.
Don't expect black culture to take accountability or change the things they glorify in Rap videos. But expect the masses to run to the streets in protest if a fat man with 25 priors gets taken down "aggressively" by a cop while committing a crime. It's much easier to play the victim.
I'm blaming it on African American culture. Rap music/urban culture are only minor catalysts of chasing the "easy way out" and the adults who look the other way.
So you are saying exposure to African American culture will lead to violence? Based on what do you make that claim? And just out of curiosity, why do you think it's culture versus say....poverty? You know there aren't many rich black people who are into Hip Hop that commit crimes. Wonder why that is...
I understand the sister did the right thing by turning in her brother, but she also did the wrong thing by buying him a gun
Based on the fact you're an incredible simpleton who needs a Yahoo study on any topic to reaffirm his belief in life. White people are poor. Asians, Samoans, all poor. But they don't sit around blaming the white man. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=10331459&postcount=7 This would be a great incident for black advocates, celebrities and artists to take to the internet and decry gun culture and violent crime. But they're saving it for the police.. so they can feel like victims doing it.
So no, you have no facts supporting your claim that the issue is cultural vs socioeconomic. Which is what I thought. Kinda sad that people can be so passionate about debating something, but so lazy to get the facts first. So self-righteous you are with your thinking despite not having any evidence at all. It's scary. It's sad. And it's the root of the problem - especially when it comes to racism. This is the way racists think. They don't use data, they use conjecture - "Well I see those black people in hip hop videos talking about guns - that must be the reason all them blacks be killing us whites!'
I'm extremely close to impoverished aboriginals on a piece of land I own. Despite having so little, and fully understanding the white man has taken their land and resources to his liking, they use guns to herd cattle and kill coyote intruders. Not as a source for power and contempt. It's clear this is a severe problem in the black community, yet none will take accountability for it. What's so hard about change? There needs to be a voice in the community like MLK to bring dignity back to the people. Obama, best friends with Jay the drug dealer, and the 90s have completely enabled the gangster, lazy, ride or die mentality.
Disgusting ^ STFU. You don't need link to know this is true. All you have to do is open your damn eyes. Disgusting.
Start at 55 seconds. There's your internet study. Straight from the streets, not stoned layabouts. Eloquent men of all colors. Most profound quote: "Hell Naw. We all *****s (to politicians)" Trying to justify violent crime committed by blacks because of a "vicious cycle of poverty" and "lack of opportunity" while living in society is absolutely pathetic. It is unequivocally, 100% a cultural issue.

You know better. Sanders was not trying to say there are no white poor. Don't be willfully moronic I don't think anyone has justified any kind of murder. But blaming African American culture for violence without any proof is r****ded. Vernon Maxwell was probably saved from a violent life because he had money. That's the difference. It make sense. People with a job and money don't rob pizzerias.
