Sounds like this kid is a textbook psychopath, in the clinical sense of the word. From a psychological standpoint, it's fascinating. As a member of society, it's appalling.

What do you suggest? Let the "experts" determine his fate meaning weekly shrink sessions and parole after a 15 year sentence at a psych hospital?

There needs to be accountability. This guy needs to go.

Right? This guy is my rebuttal when pro-lifers pull the "what if Abraham Lincoln's mother aborted him" style argument.

I don't think he's crazy at all. He's different from 99% of population. Some humans are born without limbs, sight, taste, etc. This guy was born without a soul, morality, compassion, ability to love, etc. This is Satan's version of what normal humans should be. This is my true detective take on it. He should be put down, he fully understands that he is different and pure evil.

appalling is not the word i would use. frightening is more like it.
your comment intrigued me and i looked up the definition of psychopath.

He would appear to indeed be a psychopath
a person who is mentally ill, who does not care about other people, and who is usually dangerous or violent.

I can see how most thoughtless people can see him as pure evil, simply because they find his actions appalling. He doesnt seem to have a drive to make others suffer, unlike other infamous serial killers.

He is a classic case of a psychopath. What is fascinating is that he is no difference than a house cat who goes outside and catches rodents or birds for fun, plays with them and then kills them when they are done. Are cats pure evil? We keep them around. They certainly would kill their owners for fun if they were big enough.

I personally find execution in a gray area. I wholeheartedly believe that if someone is a continuing threat, they should be executed.

Clearly, he is incompatible with the rest of humanity. Neither he nor humanity is served any good purpose by allowing him to continue to waste oxygen and foodstuffs.

    Pull the plug immediately.

What is a moderate interpretation of the article? Halfway between what it really means and what you’d like it to mean?

Timmothy McVeigh had an agenda, Batman movie killer James Holmes is bat **** crazy, this guy is as evil as they come. The discription of what he did lands on #22. Michael Stone's scale of evil goes from 1-22. Evil bro

I disagree. Doesn't sound like torture was his motive at all. In fact, from the descriptions, it sounds like he isn't into the suffering of the victim ("he tried to strangle Kimberly Hill with the power cord from a video game console on March 27, but when she did not stop screaming, he struck his mother’s head repeatedly with a hammer"). A #22 would want those screams, relish in them. He was trying to end them/prevent them.

Sounds to me like he's more of an #18 - Psychopathic torture-murderers, where murder is the primary motive, and the victim is killed after a torture that was not prolonged.

Nope, it's #22, he had a sexual motive. #18 doesn't mention anything about a sexual motive which upgrades it to#22.

Raping them pre or post mortem doesn't necessarily mean sex was the motivating factor. In fact, #22 says torture is the primary motive, and he didn't torture his victims much, if at all. And several #18s were necrophiliacs.

    I still say #18.
